  1. Dreshaun is no doubt a stud but I'm afraid he's a tweener similar to Kueter. Plus to add to it, he's a Sebolt guy who has already had a major shoulder injury. As an Iowa fan, I will be plenty happy losing Ross if it means we get a commitment from Mocco.
  2. Was this the first wrestling dual you've ever watched? This happens everywhere.
  3. Meh, whatever - who cares about a program that hasn't won a natty since any of these kids were alive? Those teams in the 30s and 40s were monsters though.
  4. Okie State is just lucky they didn't have to wrestle PSU this year lol.
  5. https://www.flowrestling.org/video/12346597-165-lb-quarterfinal-michael-caliendo-iowa-vs-julian-ramirez-cornell
  6. And that means what, exactly? Now do the 30 years prior to that. This year won't be close between the two. I'm guessing next year will be similar.
  7. Lol as if Iowa wrestling and Michigan wrestling are one in the same. The crying in this thread is hilarious. - I hope this board never changes.
  8. So let's say MM runs the table through Big Tens and O'Toole and Carr split with each other, does it go 1 MM, 2/3 - KO/DC?
  9. You shouldn't be rewarded two stall calls in a tied match for taking half-shots lol. Ref decided the match himself. Pathetic.
  10. Very doubtful. I am sure he will get the Spencer Lee treatment. Everyone will be asking what's wrong and trying to blame TNT when he doesn't tech or pin every opponent.
  11. Big NIL Money? No. However, Cass would be compensated for hanging around another year. I have a feeling those "WE HATE IOWA" chants are going to have a lot more emotion behind them this year
  12. Lol you absolutely alluded to did but that's okay. Keep playing dumb. You're perfect for that role.
  13. I never said you could. What I said is correct.
  14. Yes, that's correct.
  15. Re-read what I said. Abe has one year of eligibility to compete and two RS options to use. This season he could take an Olympic redshirt and be out the entire season. Then he would come back for the 2024-25 season and would be suspended for 30% of that season before being able to compete again. Of course, this is all contingent on him only being suspended 30% of the season. If he gets suspended an entire season, he's done.
  16. If a junior has an Olympic RS available, he could use it this season (2023-24) and sit out 30% of the 2024-25 season. Assad has his RS and an Olympic RS available to use
  17. This is some mighty fine coping and is simply not true. What WWE tour would bring him through Iowa City for four days?
  18. Gable graduated from the University of Minnesota in May 2022 and can enter the portal and transfer wherever he'd like without needing a release. Things can change but it is starting to sound more and more like this is happening.
  19. LOL this is a message board. It's all a complete waste of time.
  20. Nobody was seriously questioning Cael in 2005 lol. You're right though, time to move on.
  21. His brothers sure talk like it's a possibility
  22. How many of them were at the University of Iowa?
  23. I appreciate the response, but I knew the history. My question was more about showing how those guys needed a start at some point too. At one time they were both guys with incredible wrestling careers but no coaching history. When ISU fans were calling for Cael to get Bobby's job, I wonder if people back then were asking, "What do Iowa State fans believe that Cael Sanderson brings to the table to be a successful D1 coach at a place like Iowa State, besides being a 4x champ?" I doubt it. Some people just have it and you know it. I believe Spencer is cut from the same cloth but time will tell. I also don't think there is a single knowledgeable Iowa fan who thinks Spencer would be ready to take over tomorrow, but if he joins the staff at some point over the next few years, who's to say he wouldn't be ready to take over after a couple of years like the other guys mentioned?
  24. Where did you see or hear this? Surely you're not speaking to message board comments as actual facts. Tom has never been on the hot seat at Iowa. This is the same athletic department that won't fire an offensive coordinator who finished 99th and 123rd in total offense over the last two years. Tom has won four titles and as recent as two years ago. He is as safe as safe can be in Iowa City. Now with the new AD coming in, this could all change.
