Obviously, I am pro Iowa state here, so this is going to come across as biased. BUT, before this year, I would agree with this comment, this is the first year, CS has stayed "in it" year around. They worked all summer long and he brought the frost brothers along. I think he is maturing and figuring out how to be a leader. I am not in any way saying he can beat Mendez, I am saying he should be better mentally and shape wise.

he's been good thus far. The elephant in the room, is Grice performing on the big stage. Those don't realize, he was beating Frost last year and lost at the end of the match. He has a ton of talent. Oz is going to be exciting man, he is going to be a mini ech (again, good job captain obvious) but he will throw you on your head. He is working hard on top and bottom game.

Os is not used to this college cutting, and staying down. He is doing good, and adapting for sure. I think you are right, he is prolly a lifetime 125. Frost is cutting his balls off, he and Grice are cutting really hard. As far a Terukina, I am so back and forth with him. You go watch him, when he wants to go, he is pretty tough, but it is just in spurts. In my personal opinion, Dresser wants someone consistent. Os could be the dude. BUT Grice is tough as heck; the problem is he is kinda of inconsistent, too.

I don't know now. Here is what I know. Kyson is NOT going to get beat to Frost at 133, when that happens, he has been told he is going back down. So what does that mean? Would they RS both meza and Osmany, even if they beat Kyson? Kyson has been so up and down, I think they will want to look at other options, but that is just my opinion. Swiderski possibly going to 141 tells me Dresser is going to fill that line up to win. ( I know, Captain Obvious). One side says they will RS Osmany, but then I think, they are so loaded at 125/133 and they are young, then you have CC coming in next year, they might wrestle him. I rambling to say, I don't know crap. If I hear, I will pass along. One thing to note: Gaitan is not a lock at 165, Euton has been looking really good. Also, Ech has never looked better, if he stays healthy, he is going to be a force. Another Note: The wrestlers love Chris Perry up there, I can see now why he is such a great recruiter.

Meza is tough as hell. I think Terukina is at 133 right now, but could come back down. Meza is at 125 and he will have to beat Grice. I think Grice ends up being the man at 125, but we will find out a lot on Sunday

I don't know about being happy about it, but Dresser wants him to RS and get better at wrestlng. Toughness is there.

CC will be 149 for you guys, I would guess.

He was tough in highschool, coached him on some dual teams. His mom works for the school, that helped a hard lean for him. Does he end up starting this year IYO?

Why not just ignore it? You see BB has trimmed the list, just skip by it. This sport does not get enough attention, and he is good enough to run this out until his senior year. I don't stay up with it, I will get cliff notes and pay attention when he is down to 12. But at the end of the day, I just don't care. I do hold on to the hope he ends up at Iowa St, and I do think they will be in the top 12, but he won't go there.

I am going to say you were correct on the call at 141 with Frost, but I will stick with my 125 prediction. I think Grice starts at 125, he looks really, really, really (3 really's) good. Right now, it is Grice, Terukina, Oz. Casey 100% RS's, Chittum in the air. I am told PJ and him will rank off at 157, and loser could go up. I have heard rumors about Gaitan to 165, but not official. If that is true, then I do believe Chittum RS's. I will ask about it. Big 12 will be fun again this year.

Wiley was all over the place, and I agree, inconsistent; hell let's be honest, he has been a disappointment. I think he is figuring things out, and could be decent this year. Again, I could be wrong. Travis is not a major decision better than Wiley, I can tell you that.

I love when OSU fans talk out their cheeks. You have no idea what you are talking about, I could write a book on stuff I know that has gone on at OSU in the past 5 years. Cover ups, lawyers to make it go away crap. Ferrari alone could be a chapter, and it all was brushed under the rug. You ought to set this one out talking about other schools. DT will for sure have his work cut out. I would bet 2-3 guys get caught or kicked off in the next year.

look, If Marcus is in prison today that is news to me. He WAS in prison until Jordan was in middle school and grandpa was raising him. Grandpa was STRICT and kept him on a tight rope. When Dad got out of prison, he was very involved and also strict. They were really hard on him when it came to wrestling, and they spent a lot of time on him, ALOT. JW is a good kid, and has a kind heart but I would argue wrestling was too much of a priority and learning to be a man was not. He figured out early that he could get away with stuff because he was a good wrestler. No class, etc. He was never a mean kid, just figured out how to manipulate things to get this way. MY Two cents, they were so strict that when he got away to college, he ran like a scalded dog, nobody telling him what to do etc, when he got to college. JSmith, sure as hell didn't help him. MANY, MANY stories behind that, but I am not going to get into it. My point? I am not buying the victim of no parents, he was taught the wrong values. A big time name in the wrestling community has reached out to try and help him, if he wants to talk about it he can. JW is a great kid, that just went the wrong path, but if he could get a good mentor, that cares more about him than how many W's he gets, he could turn this thing around.

Money driven? I heard Minnesota offered him a 100K last year before start of season.

Funny story on the Mastro's. When all the stuff went down with Anthony shooting at Mastro's house, rumor had it that Ferrari SR went to Smith and said choose which brothers you want on the team. Obviously, he didn't choose...but funny that this kinda stuff goes on in college.

Lol, oh it was. Well, let me say, what I was told. These are kids, so there could be some exaggerations involved.

100%. He was doing some crazy stuff too. He would invite girls over or to go out with and say, hey I am going to have "big recruit name" over let's hang out, the recruits I know, would say, man don't put my name on that. They knew what was up.

no offense, you must not be much of an OSU fan. I know 4 kids that took recruiting visits to OSU and he was the host, one ended up going there. There was a lot of stuff that went on, that was never reported. Sexual, Drunk, wrecking a different car, etc. Look at Anthony, he was not in a car wreck, he is just as messed up if not worse. The crazy part to me, I get a long with his dad very well, and Angelo SEEMS to be different. Not perfect, but he seems to control his stuff better. I think it is time to just say, OSU sold their soul to get ferrari, they knew EXACTLY what they were getting.
