I can tell you, the rumor is Ech wants to go 141 next year. He got a little extra $$ to go 141 last year and then he got sick. Now, as you stated, it only makes sense to have Frost 141, but Ech is not big at all. He weighed around 148 after practice.

This Chittum deal has me baffled. ISU was PISSED he was leaving, I know that. Everyone knew it was going to be bad because the way Chittum was acting at the dinner after nationals. BUT, why Chattanooga? I know he is from that area, but you are taking that over ISU? Did he think he had a spot at OSU then the door closed and this was his last option? I just don't get it. BUT chattanooga is quietly buidling a decent squad for the SOCON

Pat back accepted.

I am not even an OKIE STATE fan, but Iowa needs to recognize they will be next in line for top dog, not Iowa.

they wanted Koll, he turned it down, then they wanted Hahn, he turned it down. Then they were just gonna keep Heflin, told him he had the job "verbally" and he went off to coach U23 or something like that, brought Kish in quietly and offered him the job.
-
They are for sure going to be better, top to bottom. They MIGHT be in the top 15? maybe? Which is a step in the right direction. But, I also know, there are some young bulls on that team, that are not happy. Winning more makes everyone happy, so who knows, maybe this year will lock them in.

Hell I want him to succeed, I am an OU fan through and through. I am just pissed at how Joe C has allowed that program to flounder. Leonard has been given a ton of power there, and I really do not know why. So, another tidbit on what a dirt bag Kish is. You seen Mcdougal, Pickalo, and Wiley leave, well it was because he cut most of their scholly money and had no discussion with them. Just tried to hand them a "new" contract and told them to just sign it. The wrestling world is too small man, you cannot continue to treat people like crap and burn bridges. Cam is a nice guy, but Teyon is a better recruiter, but Teyon is not a yes man. Anyway, I will shut up. I have no skin in that program, I am just a fan.

yep, this is spot on. Here is one for you. They let Iowa State use the room before the OSU duals, or maybe big 12's, not sure on that. But, they worked out in the evening, and then the next AM, Kish had told Dresser he could use the facilties again. Iowa St shows up, and doors are locked. Someone had Buchanan's number and asked if he would come up and le them in. He did. While he was letting them in, Kish pulls up and starts dog cussing Dresser telling him to stop trying to poach his wrestlers. Dresser was like, WTF? I was trying to get my guys in here to warm up. Bad blood ever since. THAT is Roger Kish. complete D*ck and feels like he is better than everyone. I am not an OSU fan, I actually cannot stand OSU, but I tip my cap to DT. That dude is humble, and people are starting to love him more and more.

Zan was a HARD Commit to OU, he committed to Lou. Kish screwed this whole deal up to. Zan had OSU, Minn, Missouri, and several others begging for him to decommit and come to their school. He stayed loyal, and then it got to the point, Kish didn't call him or anything, so he left. Kish tried to fight it, but he ended up getting out of the commitment. It came down to Illinois or Wisconisn. He chose Wisconsin. He is doing what he has always done. Win, and be a great kid. He will end up single handily save Bono and get some other good kids in there (IMO)

I am not sure how to answer this. Richison wanted Coleman Scott as the next HC, and he wanted Maple, and a few others considered. Leonard thought Koll was a slam dunk, so they blew everyone else off. Koll came in and did loved OU, but was not thrilled with the donors. Then Leonard brought Nickerson in, same result. Richison finally say F this, I will take my money to OSU. Richison graduated from UCO, and their facitlies are nicer than any facilties in the state (better than OU and OSU) I imagine OSU will have better facitlies in a few years with what DT is doing.

I swear, I feel like I am talking to my wife right now. So, you are saying tradition does not matter? Do I say Iowa would argue with that? Iowa State, you prolly know way more about Iowa State than me. Did you know one of the first moves Dresser made was asking Nate Carr to come in and run the RTC? Remind me, where did he go to college? The first thing Dresser did, was acknowledge the alumni and the tradition of Iowa State. He didn't try to Virgiina Tech---Iowa State. Where is David Carr right now? What title does he have at Iowa State? OU has brought in 3 coaches that had no ties to the Oklahoma tradition, and my point is, look where that got the program. Kish is living and dying by the portal. He could have a true Sophmore AA right now, if he wasnt completely ***I am an idiot and can't use a better adjective***ed and F the recruitment of Fugitt up. Oklahoma State. Who was their HC for decades? Where did he wrestle college at? How successful where they for decades? If OU hired a Burroughs or, Dake, I would say Great hire and you do not need to bring in folks that have OU ties, but Kish aint it.

hell you are answering all your own questions bud. OU has not been good since Cody, that was the last champ and the last time we were relevant and he was not great. MONEY IS EVERYTHING, that is why DT is at OSU, MONEY. Richison wanted to be involved in the coach search, that is what he wanted in return. Coleman Scott was a name, Kendric was a name that I know he was hoping OU would talk to. OU has a great tradition historically. And you are right, you are not on the inside, so you don't know. Lou and Kish, neither one has brought alums back and asked for them to be part of anything. You got to talk tradition, and piece those guys back into the program. National Qualifers are not the bar, that won't cut it. You have to get placers. That starts with coaches, and keeping interest in the program. Cody Brewer, no contact, Kendric Maple, contact last minute, Jared Patterson, completely F'd by Kish, asked to interview for the controls job that was given to the Mark Hall, and they didn't even have the common courtesy to call Patterson back to tell him they went with Hall. Zan Fugitt, was OU though and through, Kish NEVER CALLED HIM, and that is why he portaled and even then Kish tried to pull BS with him to make him stay. OU needs a big name and then back it with some alums, if they are ever going to be relevant again. I don't think OU has it in them to make a hard run, as I stated, I would no be shocked to see that program fold.

Chad Richison was one of the biggest donors OU had, and Jason Leonard ran him off. Jason Leonard was also the driver of these dumba$$ hires. MANY wanted Coleman Scott, but that was shot down becase Leonard didn't want a coach from "that side of the state" coaching OU. DUMB. He was the driver of the LOU hire. The last two hires, Lou and Kish did not embrace ANY of the OU history or the alum. Lou sucked, I could not stand that dude. Kish has so much arrogance, he is going to fail because of that. Big ol goofy bastard. Look at what OSU is doing, buidling staff on top of staff. I feel like there are no egos. Teyon Ware has done more than any staff member, but you can see Kish wants to be front and center, he won;t let Teyon take the lead. IF Kish don't get a handfull of qualifiers this year, he is gone.
-
OU is desperate. Donors are not happy with Kish, and many want to go a different route. OU majorly F'd up when they pissed Chad Richison off (paycom). I would not be shocked one bit if AJ ends up at OU. I believe Kish would sell his soul right now.

AJ Ferrari on the market again?

Rumor on the street was, Koll was not excited about having him, but big donors wanted him and pony'd up the cash. -
Wiley was looking hard at UCO but long time friend Bam West is the starter at 149 and he didn't want to go in and compete there.
-
Vasquez to Cal Baptist, my prediction.
-
Ware left because they didn't get along, Ware felt he deserved a "bigger role" at Wyoming. Buchanon left because him and Ware were tight, and OU could pay him a little money. Branch is not necessarily a d*ck, but he is hard to get along with, AND Wyoming doesn't have a ton of NIL money. Branch does pretty good recruiting, what what he has, but hard to keep them with NIL.
-
good kids for most programs, those kids would not see the mat at OSU. That is not a knock, on them, not many kids do.
-
who yanked your chain? I asked a question, Mr. White Knight
-
Yeah, right dude. So, you come on here, hey I heard something. Then nothing else? And you said something about attention whore? It has nothing to do with Cartoon Characters. What is wrong with saying, I heard a RUMOR. Let me repeat, no facts behind this, just a Rumor. I heard XYZ and it came from that jackass minnow and Paliciao, two idiots that beg for attention. I hope it is not true, but this is what I heard....Do you think coming on here and doing what you did is better than that? It is a F'g wrestling forum. You don't have to START RUMORS, I get wanting to state facts, but if facts were that important, then don't post ANYTHING. MOST people that are in the wrestling community heard this yesterday, just like you did.

There was for sure talk that they were coming to Iowa State. We were on the same visit as Kyler, Meza, and Castillo. It for sure was his second choice but they want (ed) to follow in Dad's footsteps at ASU. Side Note: That recruiting visit was off the chain with the talent there. Lockett, Larkin, Routledge on and on. If Iowa State could have got 1/2 those guys, man oh man.

lol, thanks brother.

Oh boy. lol

Dang buddy, it is not like there were hookers and cocaine discussed here. If this were an act of something that would be frowned upon besides a stick in the mud like yourself, I could understand. Our Reno trips were f'g legendary. There were several trips that we stayed up all night playing craps, and then coached the next day. Go take a nap.
