  1. Uh, just because I was explaining current policy doesn't mean that I am not well-informed. In fact, I would say that it makes me better informed than you. You don't have to agree with the policy to admit it exists. First of all, I'm all for protest. I'm just saying "that's the way it is at the moment." But I'm also not opposed to asking guests to behave in a certain way.
  2. Have you seen his last few fights? He is a bit on the short size and doesn't have the reach compared to many top 185. meanwhile the top guys also seem to also be more muscular in addition to the height and reach. When he was trying to wrestle 97 kg in Europe back in '21, he only weighed something like 208. That is with him trying to gain.
  3. What would be a better weight for him? 170? Because he is one of the smaller 185s in UFC. (And he did not lose 30+ lbs this week) (Based on eye test, height, and reach)
  4. He did not lose 37 lbs in three days.
  5. Not what I was responding to was it? Has any amendment or court decision ever been subjected to further interpretation by the Court?
  6. Not what he said, nor what the constitution says.
  7. Here is the disappointing and disturbing problem with your post: We are talking about non-citizens.
  8. Fake news. The reason some PSU fans are dunking on Iowa over the Duke-Miller match is bc the perception is that Iowa is the leading candidate for Miller's services.
  9. ??? Are you saying Bo Bassett's brother, Melvin Miller committed to PSU? Are you sure? When did this happen? As far as I know, he is uncommitted. Basset made sure to say that when he chose a school, that it would be a place where his brothers would also want to wrestle, and that he would like the three of them to be on the same college team. Not a guarantee that either goes to Iowa, but theoretically their feelings were taken into account when Bo committed.
  10. Stewart already committed to NCST (if that even means anything)
  11. So Ono, has one year, correct? Makes it a little easier to work lineup magic with PSU. Why did he only get one year, if true?
  12. freedom of speech has limits, as we are often reminded
  13. I feel very middle class. My daughter's high school soccer team was ranked top 20 in the country (#17, I think). Anyway, to keep up with the other girls, I felt the obligation to get her involved with a "premier team." That was $6000 ten years ago and travel was regional (not national.) We could have found more expensive options if we wanted to!
  14. Schools such as Sacred Heart (wisely) use athletic recruiting as a way to draw paying students to the University. I may have heard Rob Koll call this the "Division III model." Koll wasn't being insulting; he saw this as a good model for smaller D1 schools going forward. If there are 50 paying kids on the team, they are less likely to be cut. If they "opt in," then wrestling could be in trouble.
  15. And 6 commits as of three months ago. Generally they bring in a lot more than 6.
  16. How so? Some of the smaller schools have way more than 30. I think Sacred Heart might be cutting 20+ if they opt in.
  17. Good to see you! So, the moms are having second thoughts after making their decisions?
  18. Again, I'm not sure this is the correct forum to discuss this, but I don't forsee Ono camping out on the PSU common while appropriating a keffiyah.
  19. Somehow it seemed OK with the ASU/Iowa/SDSU movement, despite it being months after the portal closed. Trepham, too. Trepham lost to Trumble in a wrestle off and transferred to Lehigh after starting the season at NCST.
  20. He's not good at answering follow-ups, especially when proven wrong.
  21. Today? But the portal ended up not even mattering last year, with all the late action involving ASU/Iowa/SDSU.
  22. The whole last line is an attempt to upset people, otherwise it wouldn't have been typed!
  23. How many non-protesting students of from Japan have been deported? But, I would prefer to keep this thread non-political (especially since it is only unfounded speculation), and know about his actual eligibility. This could have repercussions for Davis/Blaze/Nagao etc.
