    And the USA has supplanted Russia and China to become the top gymnastic power. My son, who ended up wrestling, was coached by an Olympic gold medalist in gymnastics. I loved his coaches, but they weren’t Olympic gold medalists. I am not sure what the point is, other than there’s top quality gymnastics coaching throughout the US.

    I LOVE freestyle. Used to love Greco. but folkstyle has proven to be the best.

    But Cormier and Cejudo wrestled folk, correct? Did Khabib ever wrestle one freestyle match? How many takedowns did he get in the fever of the cage? What about Yoel Romero? Couture? Henderson? Lidell?

    Cormier and Cejudo had folkstyle backgrounds. Khabib had about 99% of takedowns against a fence. Did he enter freestyle tourneys?

    That seems to be a common opinion. I like a good lace. If someone doesn’t want to get teched, stay away from the lace.

    Congrats to him! I have always sang the praises of Jeff Buxton, and many nothing know would counter with “… but Blair recruits! Anyone could win with that team!” I think Sebastian thinks Coach Buxton is pretty good, and it’s very possible Sebastian doesn’t medal without excellent corner coaching. (Choosing not to review)

    He may have made some significant gains as a resident athlete at the OTC as well.

    When I consider (and I have thought about this) : oh maybe Snyder’s fireplug body isn’t ideal for par terre, I remember Townsend Saunders being able to turn just about anyone if he was able to get a chance in par terre. Spencer is not exactly a beanpole either. I just don’t think par terre is a point of emphasis at NLWC. Cael had very little par terre himself. The top pupil, Taylor seemed to be wrestling folkstyle on top.
