  1. He really seems to be a good dude.
  2. Are you saying Dean is a shoe-in?
  3. Motivator? An Olympic hopeful needs motivation? That is a scary thought. Although now that you mention it, he has admitted to some mental and spiritual lapses in the past. Thankfully, David Carr was there. I 100% guarantee that Carr found AB and they prayed on the loss. Hopefully he is back on the winning path.
  4. I feel that PSU is still a huge favorite in every dual and will be a huge favorite in March. I believe Aaron Brooks is a fine young man. He is a great collegiate wrestler. He will likely be the #1 seed at NCAA and probably win without too many issues. He may represent the US in a future Olympics, and I will be rooting for him by that point. That all being said: Brooks was flat. And the PSU fans on this board have gone mostly silent since.
  5. If only Brooks and Munoz had each other on their schedules, we would know how they matched up!
  6. That is not great for CMU. While this current crew of PSU studs is definitely outstanding, they are not known as pinners. They really are not even the prolific bonus point machines that the Lions produced in the past.
  7. Brooks definitely seems like a wonderful young man. But he was stuck.
  8. And what was wrong with Carter? Just didn't look like himself.
  9. ... and that is why people duck...
  10. Brooks was stuck! Should've ducked!
  11. Actually, I wish I could take credit for inventing the standard Mrs. Haines. If you had any degree of reading comprehension, most of my posts on the subject matter have been largely tongue in cheek. I have said as much. Also notice the wink above? The standard starts with stuff like "Spencer ducked Glory" and many other gems on this board and the old one. In this case, the UNC staff clearly did not think it was worth their while to wrestle a national champ coming off an ACL surgery against a backup with a recent loss to Vince Zerban (whom wrestlestat has as #58.) I would have liked to have seen the match, but coaches discretion, sportsmanship, and all that...
  12. Weren't you the one who said either: "sportsmanship" or "he's a national champ, he's proven himself" or " he doesn't need to wrestle a backup" or " maybe he's hurt or sick" or something like that? Any of that sound familiar, Mrs. Haines?
  13. I think Coleman Scott and Pat Pop have a good relationship as former Cowboys. I don't think Scott is trying to hurt Pat or his brother. He's doing more damage to himself with these losses, and I imagine that he also has a good relationship with Frank- after all UNC was invited in the first place.
  14. Well, it was sportsmanship on O'Connor's part. You don't need to wrestle a national champ against Bear Claw's backup. O'Conner has already proven himself as a national champ, why should he bother to take the mat against someone who has a loss this year against the immortal Vince Zerban? Sportsmanship, my friends!
  15. I personally didn't say anything. A PT said it. That may be the individual's protocol, I assume that you are a professional on the subject, so I will take your word for it.
  16. Just some articles on the subject that I found interesting. I didn't link to your response because I didn't think there was a direct connection.
