  1. It is not I that am confused. 1. The quarter century team is not focused on folkstyle. Flo was intentionally ambiguous. The list started with the sole criteria of having been an NCAA champ. After that, they have made it clear that it is up to the individual fan. If you want it to be: Freestyle, career, single season, final form, college only... whatever you want--- it is up to you the voter.fan. 2. Because they never won a D1 NCAA championship, Cejudo and Gilman are not eligible for the quarter century team. They may have superior FS credentials, but the starting point is that they needed to have won an NCAA title. You may not like the ambiguity, but I didn't make the rules.
  2. The problem was : Spencer was pretty much "auto bottom." Was the Ramos semi the only time in his career that he took top? Or one of the few?
  3. Wrong and wrong, at least as far as this quarter century team goes. See... you don't even know what you are arguing.
  4. That was not your argument. There was never a reason to mention Pat Glory otherwise.
  5. You're missing the main argument. Fishbane is basically claiming that Lee wasn't or shouldn't have been a big favorite to win in 2020. That is insane. Abas was in his second year of college wrestling BTW, when he took those losses. Pyles' argument was (I think) that Lee's first four years were pretty darned good and that we hold the last NCAA tournament against him, which was year 6 and he was planning on being done.
  6. I would imagine the fact that they flew him back to WI is a good sign? Not that he's out of the woods yet, but that he was stable enough to make the trip.
  7. And much more. The comments are unreal.
  8. Scourge and Trip are absolutely obsessed with a "nonissue."
  9. No. I completely disagree with you. BTW who isn't on a pitch count now? He walked through the US Open. No knee brace. A sleeve. I saw Abas wrestle with my own eyes. He was great. My issue was that you are disputing that Lee was the prohibitive favorite in 2020. Kind of silly. Well, the Lee/Abas argument could well be over in a few months, anyway...
  10. No one assigned wins. They just weren't losses. Lee not mentally tough? C'mon.
  11. We need to remind ourselves repeatedly that this is not a random tournament but a team selection process with rules that representatives of the athletes have agreed upon. We aren't going to change the rules at the drop of a dime because we feel a certain way; nor are we going to treat this like the Afton quadrangular (ie be there at 10AM ready to weigh in and take the mats, healthy or not!)
  12. 8 pages in, but only one side is overblowing the issue...
  13. I wasn't talking to you. And... my point is understanding other cultures and what is permissible isn't always easy, nor is it ever always going to make sense to us. Sorry to go so far over your head.
  14. You really are not a serious person.
  15. That's not what we are talking about... you specifically came out against due process when deporting illegals. Why do you hate illegals and the constitution so much?
  16. The point is: It doesn't get much more conservative than Afghanistan and they choose to ignore it. So let's not think we understand everything coming from another culture. Meanwhile you ignored this part: "But: Stuff was said about Khelif before the tournament; and to say that nothing was said in the 10 years prior just demonstrates a complete lack of knowledge."
  17. First of all: I'm not even sure where I stand on the Khelif situation. There is too much contradictory info out there. But: Stuff was said about Khelif before the tournament; and to say that nothing was said in the 10 years prior just demonstrates a complete lack of knowledge. As far as laws: Afghanistan also has laws against being gay; however that does not stop the widespread Pashtun custom of men repeatedly violating young boys; even having harems of them.
  18. Looks like Minnow took an 8th in 07. Pretty solid. Pyle would be in a world of trouble.
  19. Well, you see... this was OK, because it wasn't Trump. Nevermind that they all committed a crime by entering illegally or overstaying their welcome. Basically: either you're for due process or you're not. It shouldn't matter whom the president is.
  20. Wait... so you just came out AGAINST due process?
  21. If I recall correctly, Lee was on a "pitch count" that season and really gearing up for the Olympics. I think he wrestled day 1 and shut it down by design. He is absolutely not afraid of Patrick Glory. You are completely ignoring what Lee did to the US Open field, and especially Vito on December 21, 2019 while not wearing a knee brace. Midlands was 8 days after outscoring his opponents 50-4 in a field that included NaTo, Nahshon, Cory Clark, Zain Richards Vito, Zach Sanders, Nick Suriano, and Darian Cruz.... but he was afraid of Patrick Glory? Other Midlands facts that you misrepresented. 1. He was not facing Glory in the semis. He was facing Michael DeAugustino. 2. Patrick Glory struggled mightily in his own semi, needing sudden victory to defeat the immortal Brock Hudkins. Lee actually wrestled in in what was supposed to be an Olympic year; how many matches did Abas win at Midlands during his Olympic redshirt? Misrepresentation and PRIMACY EFFECT.
