  1. This did puzzle me a bit. I thought it always the plan for him to go up, but he competed at 184 during his redshirt. Add in that Janzer did not transfer out and I was befuddled.
  2. YES! Why didn't he register for 92 KG though?
  3. FIFY
  4. Lucas Byrd in the portal and headed to Michigan? Also, how is he able to wrestle a High School tournament still?
  5. Let me guess: Young Mr. Black over Dalton Roberts at 60 KG?
  6. Is registration done? Nobody else can register?
  7. Maylor should go somewhere he can drop to 165. He doesn't have the strength needed to compete with the B1G 174lbers. He has the talent and speed, just lacks the strength and tenacty. I hope he ends up at one of the MAC schools. He would contend at 174 there.
  8. Won't catch many folks from Iowa nation wishing those gents the best. I tip my hat to you.
  9. YES! Curious where he will end up weight-wise. He is immediately their best option at 125 OR 133... hell even 141 right now. The product that Central has been putting out is well down the last few years from the 20 years prior.
  10. So Anthony, despite not getting in on admissions, still went on a recruiting trip there? Interesting.
  11. I think the timing, really. That is the only reason it might be cringe for me, were I an Iowa fan that just lost one of the more recent top recruits because of the rumors and whatnot of them going there. That said, Desanto came in as a total basket case and left in a better mental state than he was prior. Yes, he did... relapse... a time or ten, but he was overall a better version of himself. I personally don't think the two Focus brothers are worth the time and possible disruption. That is why at least one major school told Angelo that the deal was for him and him only. I don't see Anthony starting except for spot starts here and there. AJ would start out the gate if he were to go 197 and then next year HWT for two seasons. Angelo would likely start for them from day one (not this next season but the following) - at 184. If Iowa decides that is the route and the risk is worth the reward, then cool beans. I hope it works out for them. As I have said for Penn State many times: A better Iowa is better for USA Wrestling.
  12. All this talk is making me feel like a Minnow stalker. It feels... gewd.
  13. I have to log out of my actual Facebook and Twitter to see what he's posting anywhere now. It is upsetting. I deserve entertainment, too!
  14. Ah yeah. I forgot the Kueter thing. All of that is bonkers and why it baffles me that he is surprised people think he's a Turdbiscuit.
  15. It is weird that it isn't J'Den Cox, right? He's won a Worlds or Olympic medal like 7 years in a row, yet we all have supreme confidence in Captain pulling it off. FTR - I voted for Nick Lee
  16. Aye and watching Mineo retween the guys trying to defend him is almost too cringe to read.
  17. 5 ÷ 16 = 0.3125, though.
  18. No, I understand all that. It still doesn't explain how he wrestled attached for four seasons and still has two to go. He started out the gate as a true frosh. He didn't redshirt at all, at least not properly. So the only way he could have two years remaining is if he got a medical redshirt approved. If he does, I get the two years remaining. When you factor in the 30% rule, 5/16 = 31.25% which is greater than 30% so that is where I am getting hung up there.
  19. Where are you and @Antitroll2828 getting two years left, though? I am not disputing it, just curious since he competed for Rutgers for four seasons already.
  20. That is assuming Gomez wanted to go to Michigan. Had he wanted to, he would have considered them before. I don't recall them being in the hunt before.
  21. Also, you lost Ramos. I know Northwestern's is a bit different as the guys who left were Grad Students and of the four gents Michigan got, only one has more than one year (there 'Free' Covid one) in Cannon, who has two (2) seasons of eligibility remaining. That said, they have three 125lbers on the roster, two are true frosh and one is an incoming redshirt soph who went 3-8 his redshirt frosh season at Buffalo. They have zero 133lbers on the roster and the covid stuff also screwed up their 149-165 lineups. You have Chumbley and Mayfield at 157/165 when one should be down at 149 - but having to wrestle a season up at 165 may have made it so Mayfield can't get back down to 149 as efficiently as originally planned. So now they have two decent 165lbers and nowhere for the one to go because 157 and 174 are also covered. Read that all in one breath, btw. That is how I imagined it being done.
  22. No. Also, he wouldn't.
  23. Charge your fone. That's embarrassing. Also, didn't Anthony get rejected at admissions? Also, also, I see this as a giant -o|oo to the Iowa gents that clearly don't want them there.
