You are off-base on everything you posted here except the opening to your initial statement. Rankings are not ratings or projections or predictions. You can only rank based off of results that actually happen(ed) and at some point you have to have a cutoff insofar as time limit since last competition. If John Smith were to retire from OSU to venture back in to the International MFS forray you couldn't just rank him #1 at 61 KG right now simply because he rattled off a ridiculous amount of championships a few years back. You may disagree with the time cutoff, but he puts the work in and follows some sort of code that they have sworn to uphold. If he weren't following that, I don't think he would be doing them. He holds himself to a higher standard than anybody on these forums possibly could. Edit: Sorry if that seemed direct or harsh towards you, I was just piping up in defense of Kozak. The guy is a gem both in his field of expertise (wrestling journalism) and ethically.

Honestly, I think it prudent to adjust the NCAA weights to mirror the MFS and MGR weights as well as possible adjust high school to match. Add in the three bottom Cadet weights and we have an odd number that will make things quite simple in tie-breakers. Criteria: 1 - Matches Won (Best) - Could be total matches, matches won via pin then tech then major, etc. KISS it, I say - matches won (this would include forfeits). It would only go past this if there is a double forfeit. 2 - Who has the least amount team penalties (worst) - this could include unsportsmanlike during the matches, too... keep gents on their best toes or a simple as ensuring nobody is DQ'd in a match due to unsportsmanlike. This would only go past this if (when) both teams have no penalties. 3 - Who won the final match (last) - If delving in to #1 insofar as via pin then tech then major, etc - this could also be done the same way. Meaning whoever won the last pin then tech then major then decision. Weights: 45 KG or 99lbs 48 KG or 105lbs 51 KG or 112lbs 55 KG or 121lbs 60 KG or 132lbs 65 KG or 143lbs 70 KG or 154lbs 75 KG or 165lbs 80 KG or 176lbs 85 KG or 187lbs 90 KG or 198lbs 100 KG or 220lbs 130 KG or 286lbs Also drop the bottom three weights and you have your new NCAA weights.
