I am sure if I understood the criteria for separation I would 'get it' better and be okay with it. There are pools with multiple guys from the same teams and that is frustrsting too. Braden David and Gary Steen probably want to wrestle other guys, not teammates.

Can someone please explain why there are 2-5 different Pools? Now seeing Shapiro and Haines are not going to be able to wrestle and that pisses me off. What is the deal and formatting here...?

Oh!? I know Negron is also trying to make Puerto Rico's Olympic team. Interesting that he isn't trying to go 74 KG (163lbs) when he looked TINY for 165 last year. Tall, yeah... but no meat. That said he was 79 KG for U23s before last year... also tiny btw. Maybe we see some sort of Shakur improvement up the weight.

I do as well. My problem is that I pay for Flo and there are at least three things wrong with putting Lamer at 141. 1 - Wrong weight (duh) 2 - That points to not paying any attention to last season and what weight he was wrestling 3 - Ignoring Ragusin's existence entirely. No mention of the Lemley being an option up at 149 with Gilcher, and the first option right now is Mayora. If one of the other three-ish gents prove themselves to be able to score points at nationals - that is when we see them pull their shirt. No mention of the slew of 197lbers that will be throwing their hats in the ring. No mention of the potential (and likely) inclusion of Gomez. This should have been an easy cut/paste job with real discussion at two weight classes (149/197). There needn't be any real discussion at the other weight classes. As cut and dry as you get, really.

It was an honest assessment, not sneaky. I think they have the same peak performance capabilities, but styles make matches. I think (a healthy) Kharchla beats Lewis and a healthy Lewis does not lose to Welsh.
