  1. Because there is history there. Your opinion is noted and I don't necessarily disagree. That said, what I said is how I think it happens IF it happens.
  2. I think if you see Amine and O'Toole go up he might. Amine's Uncle already called him out on social media and Sta(l)rocci would love to shut the Amine's up. I am all for that noise. NCAA Amine is undefeated against guys he lost to during the NCAA season so... O'Toole going up would also be a callout and I don't think Sta(l)rocci is a coward in any sense of the word. A punk? Yes. A badass? Yes. A coward? Nope.
  3. You're starting to look like Smith when Focus was at OSU. No control and no care to deal with the nonsense. Be better. Let your son start instead of the other guy. Have us cut insane amounts of weight (I could have been 118lbs had I wrestled for you...)...
  4. IT. IS. TEAM. IONEL! FFS GUYS!! GET IT RIGHT! COACH @ionel?! GET THEM ON IT!!
  5. There are actually five (5) types of people. I am the fifth and the rest of this forum's royalty is also in that category.
  6. Gable Stevenson.
  7. Hrmm... so the new guy's name should be... Sanderson Cael Edwards. I like it.
  8. Can't. Laws of Tiering have now been implemented and your tiers are invalid. Code: ERROR Cannot comply.
  9. Cael lost one the other day. Be careful there.
  10. You should go watch the match. Ramirez did considerably better than a Major would indicate. In any case... can't skip tiers. One way or the other one of them must be Tier 2.
  11. Can't jump tiers unless something extreme happens (injury, illness, or a deckfall). Either Ramirez needs to be Tier 2 as well or Carr needs to be Tier 2. The law of Tiers.

    Gomez

IF Gomez wins out, I think he ends up earning the 1 seed, right? He needs to be opposite of Henson, because I don't think he wins that match. Let Lovett beat him in the bottom semi-finals.
  13. One thing that would be going against Carr is that if he loses to O'Toole, that gives him at least his 2nd loss. If Ramirez and him both finish with two losses that would mean that O'Toole lost once as well. If O'Toole sweeps the series in the regular season, I don't see how he isn't the one. That, however, would put Carr at three losses and Ramirez at two. Even if CR and common opponents are favor of Carr, winning percentage, conference championship and head to head would not be. Add in that While 165 has four guys all highly favored to pull AA this year, EIWA may qualify more guys (they currently have more 'ranked' in the Top 33). That would also mean that Ramirez would hold the Quality Wins advantage. In this scenario, Carr would need the committee to move him above Ramirez, which I don't see happening because Ramirez did beat him. Honestly if Ramirez wins out and Carr loses twice to O'Toole the coaches might not rank Carr ahead of Ramirez anyways.
  14. You're using an example of a weight that was clear-cut, though. 1-4 mattered, yes, but it was because he lost to the three seed who lost to the two seed who lost to the one seed. You don't seed NCAAs based off results at that NCAAs... it isn't possible. A better example is 133lbs, where RBY was moved ahead of Fix at 133lbs. I don't think it matters... Arujau was legitimately unbeatable at that tournament and for the next several months on the International stage... That said, matches are wrestled for a reason and had RBY gotten Arujau in the semi-finals with the winner facing the Fix-McGee winner up top (McGee won for 3rd, but semi-finals is different... also of note is that McGee gave Arujau all he could handle earlier in the season). That is a weight I would say that the seeding mattered. The committee intervened and moved RBY up, however they did so based on last season's results - which should not have been a thing and is explicitly stated that they do not do in the seeding criteria.
  15. Remember how Lugo couldn't do anything with Degan because of a ~three foot height difference?
  16. If the mold is to fit Dan Gable -> Gable Stevenson then we will see Cael Sanderson -> Sanderson Edward. It will be a mirror - flip. Instead of going N-NW 4.5 hours this kid will go N-NE 4.5 hours and go to Cornell after growing up in Cody, Wyoming. The other school in contention for his services? South Dakota State... but Cornell will him. He is going to be the only four time undefeated champion from four different weights, 133, 149, 165, 184 and he will then win Olympic Gold at 97 KG. It has been foretold.
  17. Also in addition to what @Le dukehas said, if Bekzod cannot beat Zhamlov out for the spot and does not yet wish to retire, 86 KG might be the only option for him.
  18. Ah yeah. Who was the 2nd one they moved up?
  19. The committee can move guys up or down up to three positions. They did it with RBY last year to give him the #1 seed as well as O'Toole (I think?).
  20. It is different because of two things. - We are assuming Mesenbrink remains undefeated in this scenario. No 184lber was undefeated. - Brooks 1 loss was to a guy who ended up being seeded 5th. O'Toole's would presumably be to a guy who would be seeded no worse than third. The scenarios aren't apples and oranges, but they aren't the same either.
  21. Lemley failed skin check at 141. Travel rules are 15 can travel. B1G rules are if you have one dual on the road that weekend you can only travel with 13.
  22. I am here for it, brohem.
