  1. Underhook and pushout Masoumi. 9-4 Masoumi. 1M2S to go. Parris needs something here.
  2. Actually Parris looks more gassed here. Another shot. Masoumi flattens him out. 1M28S to go. 8-4 Masoumi still.
  3. Parris in on a single... stuffed. Slow to get up. Both are gassed.
  4. Single attempt by Parris stuffed. 2M46S to go. Underhook to push out and Parris drops and attempts to turn the corner... no points. 2M22S to go. 8-4 still.
  5. Both start the second period breathing heavily.
  6. Masoumi is so long, Parris can't get any of his offense going at all. Can't get inside for that high crotch. Can't use his strength at all. It's impressive that Zare holds Masoumi off. For all the slack Masoumi has gotten (even from me) for being a turd, he is showing nothing but class here.
  7. Parris shoots from WAY out. Stuffed. Called up. 41S to go in the first, still down 8-4.
  8. Masoumi rolls him, rolls him. 8-4 Masoumi. 56S to go in the first.
  9. Another pushout by Masoumi. Parris has no answer to that. They are reviewing it... maybe calling a C1 on Parris? Not sure. It was called grounded at first, I thought. 1M12S in the first to go. 5-4 as it is. It was called a C1. Parris is down.
  10. Parris in with a takedown again, but Masoumi turks him over and both get two. 4-4 Parris on criteria. 1M40S to go. Pushout Masoumi again.. .same thing... 5-4 Masoumi 1M37S to go in the first.
  11. Masoumi picks him up with an underhook again and pushes him out. 2-2, Parris up on criteria 2M to go in the first.
  12. Masoumi picks him up and pushes him out. 2M42S to go in the first, Masoumi up 1-0. Takedown Parris. 2M47S left... was pretty vulnerable there to get thrown to his back. 2-1 Parris.
  13. We have yet to see Parris against a giant like Masoumi. Geno was big, but he doesn't wrestle long. Masoumi dwarfs him.
  14. Nevermind Wick is next on Mat B. Kentchadze is wrestling now and Geno did INJDEF.
  15. If not they are up on Mat B next. Parris - Masoumi is in two on Mat C. Snyder - Ghasempour is in three on Mat C. Jackson is in six on Mat C. Schultz is in four on Mat B. Wick is in three on Mat B against Nokhodi.
  16. It looks like Geno is already marked as 'INJURED' in his Zare match.
  17. Today has been interesting thus far. 97 KG Schultz beat 79 KG Lujan at 92 KG via 12-4 Decision Both Schultz and Jackson won their pools and sit in the '1' spot for the semi-finals. Both will at the very least wrestle for a medal. Snyderman is on his way to a collision course with Ghasempour still... although Ghas has had more difficult match(es). 125 KG has set itself up perfectly with Geno - Zare up top and Parris - Masoumi down low in the Semi-finals. Zare once again destroyed Gwiazdowski. 79 KG, Wick didn't put on the same sort of performance as his 4-4 criteria loss at the BF and lost 11-0 to Kentchadze. He now gets Nokhodi of Iran in the Semi-finals and at the very least will wrestle for Bronze.
  18. Amos wanted to go up last year but Thor utilized his 'free' Covid year.
  19. Hasn't this match, more or less, happened? They have competed in the same weight class at least once during their collegiate careers, albeit in Freestyle. At that tournament Brooks had better results. Sta(l)rocci has had multiple losses within the last year at a weaker weight in 79 KG in Freestyle as well, whereas Brooks has cemented himself as the #2 86 KG guy in the country, possibly the entire world. If you are going to force Brooks to go down to 174lbs, then maybe Sta(l)rocci beats him at Folkstyle. If they meet in the middle and wrestle at 184lbs then Brooks is winning this match.
  20. Real quick recap: 57 KG Cruz loses in first round of Repechage to Bulgaria via 4-2 Decision. Richards loses to Turkey in first round or Repechage via 17-8 Decision (match of the day...?) 61 KG Joey Silva in the Bronze match. 65 KG McKenna VS Rivera for Bronze. 70 KG Zapf VS Switzerland for Bronze. 74 KG Nolf VS Abouzaripash for Gold - Nolf hasn't faced this Iranian yet... I believe this guy was 4th on their ladder last year, but he beat Emami 10-3, so... 86 KG Marsteller VS Azerbaijan for Bronze
  21. Could Deepak Punia make 74 KG? I feel like he could. In any case, I am off gents. See ya'll in about five and a half hours.
