You must be from PA. Your list is limited to the 2000s, with PSU guys and one of PA's all-time great HS wrestlers. Hey, I get it, I'm from PA as well. However, here are some other options: LEE KEMP Ed Banach, Alex Dieringer, Stephen Abas, Barry Davis, Jim Zalesky, Joe Williams, Eric Guerrero, and there are many other to consider.

As of this morning, there are five. I'm anticipating Vak being able to provide an update later tonight or tomorrow morning. To the others, can you give us a heads-up if you've paid? Also, if you need the Venmo info, you can DM me. @Cornell Kevin @Friendlycamper @jajensen09 @killdozer @MlCHIGANMADE @okokzach @Sparro

You've got it right for my standpoint. The QFs used to be a key round to watch for upsets in the the first three weight classes, being a morning session with a 1-hour weigh-in. I would always watch to see how the big weight-cutters performed coming off a day two weigh-in. Tournament weigh-ins changed last year to 2-hrs for each day, which gives the lightweights a little more recovery time.

143-2-1. Any idea as to who was the other loss and the tie? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Didn't they tweak the voting to elevate Steveson into a tie with Lee?

Jim Nance only lost one bout in HS or College - and that loss was controversial in nature. He beat a future five-time World medalist to win his first NCAA title. It is a significant oversight not to include him in the poll. It has been suggested that PA created the heavyweight class because to accommodate Nance. https://nwhof.org/hall_of_fame/bio/8074 https://www.eiwawrestling.org/HOF/Hall_of_Fame/nance-jim?view=bio

Dean Hall (Edinboro) beat Mike Hatch (Liberty), 7-3 for the 1986 D2 title. Hall placed 6th in the 1986 D1 tournament as the #7 seed. An interesting note: Edinboro made the jump to D1 in 1987 and Hall, Hatch, and Haselrig each qualified for the 1987 D1 tourney. Haselrig beat Hall for the title, 4-2. Hatch did not place. Here's a link to the draft board: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1RhBfD4n3dzCeq8oPZmQHaTZw2wCfIIE4PALP0ZZB7sE/edit?gid=812972915#gid=812972915 The list of participants shown on the sheet is not the draft order. We will adjust participant list and random sort for order once everyone joins the call (or appears as present on this forum). I highly recommend using Zoom to follow along and place picks - it speeds up the process. I'll send that info once we have a firm list of paid participants.

OK.. here we go. Let's plan on a draft beginning at ~8p ET Wednesday. It will take approximately 2-2.5 hours. Here's the list I have as a result of looking through this thread. I'll lean on @nhs67 to help facilitate as I run the board. @okokzach @scorenomore @killdozer @MM2018 @charmon55 @Sparro @Cornell Kevin @jajensen09 @MlCHIGANMADE @Kov88 @Friendlycamper @nhs67 and I @lu_alum can add more if needed. If you are interested in participating, send a DM to @VakAttack, who will handle entry fees. It is my understanding that Vak is traveling to Philly Tuesday and has plans for Wednesday. I will run with whatever list VakAttack is able to provide to me by Wednesday prior to draft. I highly recommend you pay entry fees by Tuesday evening, as I don't know Vak's availability on Wednesday. Review the guidelines posted earlier in the thread:

Five time champs rating: 1. Gray Simons, 7x champ (4x NAIA, 3x NCAA, 6x OW) 2. Carlton Haselrig, 6x champ (3x NCAA D2, 3x NCAA D1) 3. Carter Starocci, potential 5x champ (5x NCAA D1)
-
Starocci may get five. Haselrig got six. But Gray Simons is the all-time leader with seven, with six OW awards. https://nwhof.org/hall_of_fame/bio/30

Although it was low scoring and tactical, the more impressive win in Dake's frosh championship run was the semi-final against Humphrey. This win avenged a prior loss at the CKLV.
