During my frosh year in HS, there was a guy on the other team who was paralyzed due to legal mat return. I'll never forget him crying when he came to the realization that he had no feeling in his legs.

Unless it was in Coleman's contract when he signed last year.

I guess Stanich’s loss to Forrest at Mat Town in SV doesn’t look so bad anymore. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -

The UWW site has some featured content on their site, but I cannot figure out how to view it. When registering, their site indicates that streaming content can be viewed in the US through Flo. I've used Flo for live events, but can't seem to view items such as these. Any suggestions?

Everything I’ve seen has shown a single World Medalist placed in the bottom semifinal. I have no idea how they would place two World Medalists in the semi-finals. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Although Wade Schallrs’ time at East Stroudsburg cost him a postseason at Clarion, I don’t believe he ever actually wrestled a match for East Stroudsburg. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Cuvo was in Raleigh for a short time: https://www.mcall.com/1985/09/12/eastons-jack-cuvo-enrolls-at-esu/ I vaguely remember hearing (or reading on the old District XI forum) that Cuvo was mugged his first week on campus and decided to go back to PA.

Who will win OTTs at 57kg, 65kg, and 74kg?

Keep in mind Dake is Benjamin Buttons. -
Stanich is likely, as he makes the move to 141. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Seth Ciasulli breakdown of Kasaks tournament

I misunderstood your bias. You're pissed b/c they're not going to Lehigh? Not so sure about that. Seth is wearing a Lehigh sweatshirt during the video recap of Crookham-Vito II. He's also commented about how Pat Santoro has be a guest clinician at Red Hawk in the past. -
No. He got a bye to the final on the basis of winning the US Open, a 2-2 criteria win over Kyle Dake. At the WTT, he lost the first match to Dake, then won two straight to make the world team.

Seth Ciasulli breakdown of Kasaks tournament
lu_alum replied to flyingcement's topic in College Wrestling
Not a cousin. Desmond’s mom is Seth’s sister. Not a broken family - in fact, they are very close. As for the Lehigh pipeline, Seth indicates his kids are just hitting college age - Kasak being one of the first. That makes two blue chip recruits (Kasak and Desmond) going to PSU. Where is the Lehigh bias? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Reposting my comments on another thread: Jordan Burroughs: I just don't see it happening. Too much to ask of the old guy. What tough tourney did JB just win? If you're referring to Yasar Dogu, the field was watered-down because it was not a ranking series event this year. He hasn't made scratch 74kg since he lost the OTT to Dake in April '21. His two recent events at 74kg (Yasar Dogu, March '24; Kunaev, Nov '23) were both single-day events with a 2kg weight allowance. 74kg was always a tough cut for him. At the OTT, He'll have to make scratch weight both days AND win the challenge bracket. Going back to when he first made a World Team in 2011, Burroughs has NEVER had to go through a challenge tourney bracket to make a World or Olympic team. He won the US Open in 2011 to get a bye, and This year, he'll have to go through the following just to get to Dake: 2023 Bill Farrell champion – Jason Nolf (Nittany Lion WC) 2024 NCAA D1 champion at 165 lbs - David Carr (Iowa State) 2024 NCAA D1 champion at 174 lbs - Carter Starocci (Penn State) 2023 U20 World champion – Mitchell Mesenbrink (Askren Wrestling Academy) 2023 U23 World champion – Keegan O'Toole (Tiger Style WC) 2023 Senior Nationals champion – Quincy Monday (NJRTC/Titan Mercury WC) 2023 Senior Nationals 2nd place – Alex Marinelli (Hawkeye WC/Titan Mercury WC) 2023 Senior Nationals 3rd place – Alex Facundo (Nittany Lion WC/Titan Mercury WC) 2023 Senior Nationals 4th place – Jarrett Jacques (Tiger Style WC) 2023 Senior Nationals 5th place – Tyler Berger (Pennsylvania RTC) 2024 NCAA D1 champion at 157 lbs - Levi Haines (Penn State) Whomever survives the 34-man Last Chance Qualifier bracket (Vincenzo Joseph?)

True that Matt and Seth did wrestle for Lehigh. How do you explain Lehigh not even being included in the list of Nate Desmond’s official recruiting visits? Desmond visited NC State, Cornell, Ohio State, Wisconsin, and PSU. He has already declared for Penn State. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Interesting item to add to the discussion is the state-to-state variability in regulations. Not all states require kindergarten, and the age requirements for compulsory school attendance vary. Using this 2020 table as an example... for the states that require kindergarten, compulsory education has to occur no later than: Age 5 in AR, CT, DC, HI, MD, NM, OK, RI, SC, SD, and VA Age 7 in LA and NV https://nces.ed.gov/programs/statereform/tab1_3-2020.asp
