  1. Don’t forget that year at Northwestern. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. I thought he looked rough in his first bout. Perhaps a bad day at the scale? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. Yes... a lot of work. Did he adjust the bonus point schema from prior years to align with today's scoring (DEC, MAJ, TF, FALL)? When you scored a wrestler from that era, how did you calculate bonus points for a decision by 12-14 points? Would have been a superior decision back then, but only a major decision today. Advancement points were completely different back then, as were placement points.
  4. You won't see either in the Sphere. It's more likely that NCAA sports would take place in T-Mobile or Allegiant. There's also the privately funded NBA-ready arena that's coming just south of the resort corridor.
  5. There too embarrassed. Quite the fall from grace for RBY. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. It’s a shame that the title for a post regarding academic achievement has a grammatical error. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. Classic PSU Cheer… We Are: Greedy! We Are: Greedy! We Are: Greedy! Thank you: F*ck you! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. What's your issue with the roster? Nine golds & one bronze. The only one not to win gold was Hall at 86kg.
  9. They need to create the list of WTT challenge tourney qualifiers at 92kg, as this article was published prior to Cox declining his bye to Final X.
  10. Cox declined his 92kg bye to Final X. As the US Open champ at 97kg, he will go against Snyder at Final X. There will be WTT tournaments on May 21st at 61kg, 92kg, and 125kg, as there were either no returning world medalists or the returning medalist (Cox) declined their bye.
  11. Any predictions on how long it will take Zahid to join Anthony on the Mexican national team?
  12. I understand where 8+ years ago it made sense to give a bye to the finals for returning world medalists. Given Team USA’s improved performance over recent years, should the bye only be extended to returning world champs (or finalists)? It is not out of the ordinary to see multiple US wrestlers in the UWW top ten rankings. This year also offers an interesting anomaly, in that Russia did not participate in the 2022 World Championships, perhaps over-inflating some of the byes. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. Didn’t he essentially accomplish the task at hand - qualify for WTT? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. All true... and people still spell his name incorrectly.
  15. Why don’t you open the multi-page thread already started on this topic and read the opinions for yourself? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I saw a Facebook on Tom Elling's Wrestling Page that leads me to believe that Gettysburg (PA) HS could possibly be inspiration behind the often-ridiculed polo-wearing coach in Vision Quest. The second photo below comes from the 1978 PIAA District III Section 1 program.

    Wow

Admittedly, this belongs on either the HS or International board… but just had to share. The full match is also posted in the thread. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. Point taken. I was just being recent in my comment.
  19. corrected previous post to state, "lost challenge"
  20. Like them all. Not a huge fan of the beard rule, but I can see where it is necessary from a non-discrimination viewpoint. Would still like to see the 1-point penalty for a list challenge. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. This is the only photo from that bout that has any value...
