  1. He didn't exactly shine this year in limited action at 184 either. A 6-2 win over the Air Force backup (3-4 record) and gave up a takedown to the UALR backup (3-8 record) before getting a pin. He'll be given his chance to battle for a spot, but if I'm betting, I would give better odds to Ryder and Merrill.
  2. We are seeing it. On this forum, on Twitter, on Youtube, on the Penn State boards. It's not even that PSU fans are actually against it. They just see whatever Cael says or does, and then backfill justifications to support Dear Leader.
  3. Looks like Rademacher will be the 97kg U20 rep again this year (Merrill is competing at 92kg). Next year's 184 weight class is understandably getting all the attention, but 197 is going to be pretty great as well imo.
  4. I wonder if he was fully on board with going to Big 12s and using a year of eligibility after being out all year
  5. You just look like a clown trying to diminish it using a grade school tactic...
  6. John Wiley of OU is in the portal per his IG
  7. DT and OSU disagree. I don't expect him to make the lineup this year either, but they very clearly wanted Thompson to stay.
  8. Is this the first pickup for tOSU?
  9. When guys get hurt in January and February and have to miss the postseason, we can say they don't have their real roster, and we can also dismiss what happens at NCAAs, right? Lucas Byrd doesn't get to call himself champion because Ryan Crookham wasn't in the tournament, right? No. Like any other time, you go with the best guys available and the results are the results. Lots of guys are worn down by March and aren't the best version of themselves. Again, we don't discount the NCAAs because of it. There is no utopian scenario to get a perfect outcome. You can quibble with things like the date, or the selection criteria, or name of the event ... Or you can appreciate that there are people trying to make this sport bigger and putting their money where their mouth is to make it happen. And appreciate the fact that all these teams want to show up and COMPETE and put on a show for the fans.
  10. "I'm named Jim." "By whom?"
  11. It's literally named the National Duals Invitational.
  12. Brother, what is your point?
  13. Minnesota is in too, he says. So all but Penn State accepted their bids.
  14. Speaking of Willie, he tweeted he's talked to the coaches of Nebraska, Virginia Tech, Cornell, and Illinois, and they're all going.
  15. TBD I think. I'm sure seeding won't happen until much closer to the Duals. Let @Husker_Du do the seedings imo. I think it made sense to have teams "earn" their spot with NCAA placing, not because it gives you the 16 best teams, but because it's fair and objective. But seeding should probably be based on dual team rankings of some sort.
  16. So far they've announced Oklahoma State, Iowa, Ohio State, UNI, Michigan, and NC State are entered. https://nationaldualsinvitational.com/#teams
  17. Hadn't heard that. Do you remember where he said that?
  18. Awesome work! Not the focus of the thread but do you happen to know how many undefeated 3-timers there were like Dan Hodge and Yojiro Uetake?
  19. It's funny how their memories of people change after someone leaves or rejects the cult. They did the same with David Taylor and most recently Zack Ryder
  20. He remains active duty, but he will owe some number of years after he's finished with WCAP
  21. Yes, he's in the WCAP through 2028 and then he'll serve after that
  22. Michael just committed to Iowa
