  1. Is this the first pickup for tOSU?
  2. When guys get hurt in January and February and have to miss the postseason, we can say they don't have their real roster, and we can also dismiss what happens at NCAAs, right? Lucas Byrd doesn't get to call himself champion because Ryan Crookham wasn't in the tournament, right? No. Like any other time, you go with the best guys available and the results are the results. Lots of guys are worn down by March and aren't the best version of themselves. Again, we don't discount the NCAAs because of it. There is no utopian scenario to get a perfect outcome. You can quibble with things like the date, or the selection criteria, or name of the event ... Or you can appreciate that there are people trying to make this sport bigger and putting their money where their mouth is to make it happen. And appreciate the fact that all these teams want to show up and COMPETE and put on a show for the fans.
  3. "I'm named Jim." "By whom?"
  4. It's literally named the National Duals Invitational.
  5. Brother, what is your point?
  6. Minnesota is in too, he says. So all but Penn State accepted their bids.
  7. Speaking of Willie, he tweeted he's talked to the coaches of Nebraska, Virginia Tech, Cornell, and Illinois, and they're all going.
  8. TBD I think. I'm sure seeding won't happen until much closer to the Duals. Let @Husker_Du do the seedings imo. I think it made sense to have teams "earn" their spot with NCAA placing, not because it gives you the 16 best teams, but because it's fair and objective. But seeding should probably be based on dual team rankings of some sort.
  9. So far they've announced Oklahoma State, Iowa, Ohio State, UNI, Michigan, and NC State are entered. https://nationaldualsinvitational.com/#teams
  10. Hadn't heard that. Do you remember where he said that?
  11. Awesome work! Not the focus of the thread but do you happen to know how many undefeated 3-timers there were like Dan Hodge and Yojiro Uetake?
  12. It's funny how their memories of people change after someone leaves or rejects the cult. They did the same with David Taylor and most recently Zack Ryder
  13. He remains active duty, but he will owe some number of years after he's finished with WCAP
  14. Yes, he's in the WCAP through 2028 and then he'll serve after that
  15. Michael just committed to Iowa
  16. And Brayden was never actually in the portal
  17. I didn't know 25s got up that high during the season, that's wild.
  18. Gilman mentioned he was around 150 this year before his match during the Iowa State dual
  19. Officially as an RTC coach, so Gilman's spot is still open too
  20. Fix is already in the room and his primary focus is and should be on competing
  21. 5.5 vs 7.5 points. Tagen had a much tougher match up facing the 4 seed in the blood round while Swiderski faced the 14 seed. If you think Swiderski is better than Tagen, go for it, but saying they're in different tiers is dumb tbh
  22. Is Aeoden Sinclair going to be 197 or 184 this year?
