  1. This year, yeah. There's a large overlap in best dual teams and best NCAA teams, so the field is still awesome fortunately, but I agree selections should emphasize dual strength. This is just year one and based on what Willie has said, they will tweak the process in the future
  2. He was an enormous 86. Pyles said he pulled out of the Lee-Ono event against Zahid because he wasn't going to be able to make weight. He doesn't need to bulk unless he's just going to bypass 92kg on his way to 97.
  3. 9 years! 3 years of Drew Foster who won it in 2019, then 1 year of Taylor Lujan who was 26-2 and won B12s before covid, and then 5 years of Keckeisen.
  4. UNI has been nails at 184 for the better part of a decade. Whoever it is, they're stepping into some big shoes
  5. Broadcast for the event: Willie said on Baschamania that Flo will have the semis and ESPN will have the finals. I assume Flo will have the earlier rounds as well, but he didn't say.
  6. It's the school's, but they can give it to their guys or use it how they see fit
  7. Agreed. Iowa State as well. They will tweak it in the future and hopefully will base it off duals rather than the tournament. It's going to be an amazing event but yeah it's a bummer that some great teams are having to miss out
  8. That doesn't add up. What prompt did you use?
  9. Odds of getting invited for the teams in the lottery: Purdue 63.42% Mizzou 60.20% Lehigh 56.67% Penn 52.80% Little Rock 48.57% ASU 43.96% Stanford 43.96% WVU 43.96% Navy 27.68% Wyoming 21.40% SDSU 14.69% Indiana 7.56% Maryland 7.56% ORST 7.56%
  10. Only PSU declined. I think VaTech is finishing paperwork or something, but Willie said they're in. The final five spots will go to teams that finished 13-24. 3 teams tied for 24th.
  11. Any Stanford fans here? Is Lorenzo Norman going to go up to 184?
  12. Speaking of, is Waters testing waters?
  13. Dom Munaretto was the current ILL high schooler. Who is the former ILL high schooler that is transferring to tOSU?
  14. He didn't exactly shine this year in limited action at 184 either. A 6-2 win over the Air Force backup (3-4 record) and gave up a takedown to the UALR backup (3-8 record) before getting a pin. He'll be given his chance to battle for a spot, but if I'm betting, I would give better odds to Ryder and Merrill.
  15. We are seeing it. On this forum, on Twitter, on Youtube, on the Penn State boards. It's not even that PSU fans are actually against it. They just see whatever Cael says or does, and then backfill justifications to support Dear Leader.
  16. Looks like Rademacher will be the 97kg U20 rep again this year (Merrill is competing at 92kg). Next year's 184 weight class is understandably getting all the attention, but 197 is going to be pretty great as well imo.
  17. I wonder if he was fully on board with going to Big 12s and using a year of eligibility after being out all year
  18. You just look like a clown trying to diminish it using a grade school tactic...
  19. John Wiley of OU is in the portal per his IG
  20. DT and OSU disagree. I don't expect him to make the lineup this year either, but they very clearly wanted Thompson to stay.
