Haven’t plenty of guys had success at the Olympics immediately following an NCAA season? As long as he’s not wrestling through injuries folkstyle is still good training for freestyle. Plus I’m sure he’ll be wrestling plenty of freestyle at RTC practices anyway.
Cassar is probably the best example of Cael helping to develop a not so heralded recruit. Took longer than 2 years though.
Haines seems to be more of just being under-ranked, which of course is another skill Cael has. IIRC Starocci is another example of that.
Agree, well except for your definition of "lower half" :-). I'd say really only the 7 & 8 spots are really up for grabs, and I'm not including Bastida among the top 6. Schultz isn't planning to ORS is he?
Thanks, I was, just saying I guess that’s where a lot of the news is these days. Thought it was mostly just for girls’ bikini pics (which is probably another reason I should be on there)
Yeah I’m a bit surprised if they all leave, thought the Obe hire was best case scenario.
Guess it may be along the lines of Kolat leaving Campbell and hiring Sentes. Kept the continuity but still going to have guys that were more loyal to the HC that likely recruited them.
I’m confident that Iowa will properly discipline them for any wrongdoing that occurs on their watch.
The question will be if (when?) one of them gets kicked off the team or something of that nature, will they all leave?
If Orndorff "didn't do shit," then Doucet definitely didn't.
I'd guess Caroll is definitely an upgrade considering Doucet scored 0 points at NCAA's. But with the logjam at the top of 285, his upside might be limited.
