  1. Arizona State this year is probably in the conversation
  2. Yes I agree with your second sentence. Apologies my sentence was worded poorly. I still feel that biological men competing in women’s sports had very little impact in the election.
  3. Not really. Quite a few down-ballot Republicans in states Trump won that spent a lot of money on anti-trans ads lost their races.
  4. Just because Republicans plastered ads about it doesn’t mean it actually impacted how more than a few people voted
  5. I think it’s a medium sized deal, but I think it was far down the list of why people voted the way they did. It was about the economy.
  6. Sorry, didn’t mean this year
  7. Lol I turned off my ad blocker today and got this one
  8. He (and Jon Stefanowicz) said cops were called to the house on multiple occasions, but they did not get into any details. They also showed a home video of Chance’s mom yelling at him while he’s forced to stay in a wrestling stance, and I think it was Stefnowicz who said something like “this isn’t even the bad stuff,” and Chance made a comment like “my mom and I’s relationship was good when it was good, and bad when it was bad”
  9. If you’re referring to this specific rumor, he’s not, but said it was someone that was “Suriano level,” so I’m skeptical. But PSU fans seem to acknowledge that guys like Sealey, Facundo, Cochran, maybe even Kasak or one of Davis or Nagao may leave.
  10. Guessing pastry man might be thinking of NDSU
  11. By insisting on saying “he,” seems like you care.
  12. Just watched. Good film. Kudos to Flo, Chance and his wife in particular. On a wrestling note, can we talk about the reviewed call vs Burroughs where both corners wanted 4? The singlet pull got much of the press but this call is a great illustration IMO of why I don’t like the freestyle rule of “who initiated the move.” It’s not ideal that the refs’ decision can decide an 8 point swing (9 if you count a lost challenge point)
  13. I also wouldn’t think Rutgers would be the best place to go hunting
  14. So much for the people that claim they can always tell if someone is trans then
  15. I believe even the girl on the same team that’s suing says she lived with Fleming for months before realizing she was trans. I agree she shouldn’t be playing, but those calling it a “safety issue” are reaching IMO. She seems to be above average, but that’s about it. If her participating is a safety issue then it’s also a safety issue for Carter Starocci and Gable Steveson to still have eligibility also.
  16. Also rules can change, but not really in the middle of the season. My guess is folks are trying to highlight the issue now so that they will change the rules later. Unfortunately any players involuntarily forfeiting are collateral damage.
  17. On the PSU forum they seem to be expecting some of the bigger name guys to transfer, just not to Rutgers and I’d agree with that. Only semi-notable guy on their roster that makes sense to Rutgers IMO is Gibson. I’d give an outside chance for Sealey but unlikely IMO. Only guy from Iowa that would make sense to Rutgers is Ferrari, but he doesn’t seem to fit the description the poster described anyway.
  18. San Jose State lost in the conference tournament final
  19. I don’t know for sure but I’m afraid the women are being used as pawns for political theater. IMO, if I was in their shoes I would rather beat the trans player than forfeit. Especially since she doesn’t even seem to be all that good.
  20. Yes in the case of Nevada it seems clear it was the players’ choice, as evidenced by their official statement. Not so much for Boise State and Wyoming who as far as I’m aware only issued vague statements. The most recent one from Boise State was particularly weird IMO, saying they “had to” forfeit. Maybe I’m reading too much into it but I also find it interesting that they did not post anything about it on their official x profile, despite multiple posts during and after their win in the previous round
  21. Yes I’m aware. But the conference tourney is a lot different than a regular season game. And speaking of the other teams, it does appear that “outside pressure” was involved in Wyoming forfeiting. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/other/wyoming-volleyball-coach-worried-about-political-pressure-to-forfeit-vs-san-jose-state/ar-AA1tNjec Again, I am all for them forfeiting if that’s what the players choose, but hopefully it’s actually them that chose.
  22. I commend them for doing this, although I’m curious if it was actually their choice. This video seems odd to me, they’re celebrating their win in the previous round and they already know their opponent is going to be the one with the trans player, but the trans players don’t seem to know they’re about to forfeit. I’ve also noticed the Idaho governor has been posting about this topic on x often. Is it possible this wasn’t the team’s choice?
  23. Minnesota and SDSU could be good. Too bad no one has Midco sports plus
