  1. I'm assuming they knew....and given the improvement that the team made this year with Scott coming in, I would expect most if not all to stay.
  2. He didn't win ... he was pinned in the finals by Brian Borden (Idaho kid ) in the finals. https://www.flowrestling.org/events/12159454-2024-national-collegiate-open/brackets
  3. Cael won 4 individual titles....but didn't win a team title as a wrestler. Still the GOAT. There is no individual title separate from team in basketball.... only stats and subjective awards. You can win the Heisman without being on the championship team.
  4. Yep - agree 100.... He has dropped off, but still very talented. At the time of his commitment he was a top 5. I don't think he will start at PSU ever, so he is making a good decision IMO if he decides to go to Rutgers.
  5. You mean "Golden" gophers... they are not just some of the mill gopher.
  6. Does high hopes mean 2nd?
  7. Nah...I will go with toss-up....In case you haven't noticed A + B = C doesn't always happen in wrestling. Playing the same Price is Right game.... Askey was throttled by Thompson who Wilcox in turn majored a couple weeks later. Same can be said the other way around. Either guy could win on any give day against one another...that's why it's a toss-up. As mentioned, our most glorious wrestlestat has Wilcox winning 9-5.
  8. Rutgers has to have one of the top recruiting classes in the country. Add Gibson and they have 6 top 10 wrestlers and 3 more in the top 25.
  9. Askey and Wilcox are a toss-up. They have nearly identical records against common opponents. In 10 matches against each other it wouldn't surprise me if it was 5-5.
  10. How is he NOT an upgrade to the roster at 165? Who on the roster do you expect to beat Fish out at 165 and qualify for NCAA next year? Why would he come in (and get paid to come in) if it was not already determined that he is going to be starting at 165?
  11. If people are okay with 20 year old true freshman, then they have to be okay with 26 year old finalists.
  12. If Hamiti is going 174 and Thomspon is redshirting, who did you expect to go 165 if Fish did not transfer in?
  13. I am guessing 174
  14. Sean Harman to Oregon state
  15. Yeah - that has messed me up a couple times too - No need to apologize. I think he will land out East somewhere closer to home. Definitely a good pickup for someone. Was down a little bit on the depth chart and battled some injuries as you seen in the results. Good kid and family.
  16. He wrestled off at the beginning of the season and. had some matches throughout the season. He was a long way from home - I think he wants to get back out East closer to family.
  17. He's a GA kid, has ties to both , so that would make sense. I think he would have a better chance of starting at American with both starters returning at NC.
  18. Watching
  19. You haven't been institutionalized yet.... but you will get there.
  20. That's a good lineup....but I still don't see them taking down PSU.. they will still be loaded and have guys in the pipeline that will develop as everyone else has. From an individual standpoint, I think it would be good to have them redshirt as the weights clear out a little bit.
  21. I posed this same question earlier in this thread..... and it's a good question not necessarily from an NIL perspective but from a sports psych perspective. To me it's not really about having enough money....is Michigan creating a situation when some recruits may not go there because at anytime they could lose their spot to someone just a little better that's in the portal? Is there more stability for a wrestler to go to a school knowing their starting spot could be more safe? I get that if a guy performs they will be fine....but with the money Michigan has they seem to have the ability to bring in an AA over an R16 or R 12 guy, whereas other schools do not and that guy is pretty safe. It does create an interesting dynamic involving trust when you have money to bring just about anyone in you want.
  22. See the many threads on Bono that are already on here.
  23. If Bearclaw went 165 then it would push Ruiz to 174 and Valencia to 184. It would balance out the lineup a little more for ASU, but I am not sure it's best. Is McLane back another year as well? I believe he has one more year, but I am not sure he is using it.
