  1. If Teemer does not return or ends up at 165 then I think Ramos bulks up to 157. I'm not sure Ysaguirre can make 133, but they still have Chlebove in the fold.
  2. Trevor Tinker?
  3. Maybe one or both of them will transfer to Bakersfield...
  4. Pretty sure you only need 8 D1 matches.
  5. Did anyone count how many stall signals Zeke gave to the refs during the match? He has to be running down Tom Brands for the all-time lead.
  6. It was a joke referencing his weight increases every year.... he started at Cal Poly at 149 and goes up weight classes every year, so his trajectory is heavyweight next year. He has to be the guy who has gained the most weight from entering college to his senior year. 149 - 197.
  7. He's listed as graduate.... but you know with the free year, just keep wrestling until someone says you can't. Yes they god Daschle who is very good... He could slide into 174 very easily if they decide to not redshirt him.
  8. They lose Rotondo, Demas and Brawley Lamer... Kemp coming back would fill Lamer's spot. They also have several guys graduating but have another year of eligibility- It would depend on what they want to do. I can see a lot of teams coming after Truax pretty hard. Of course he might be heavyweight by next year...
  9. Ysaguirre is ranked top 15? He hasn’t been the starter all year. Is Vasquez out?
  10. Pac 12 will be a close tournament. Probably more ranked wrestlers heading into the tournament than the conference has seen in awhile.
  11. Neither of your examples compares his 2022 heavyweight season to his 2023 197 season in order to answer the question if the move in weigh classes has been better. Let's just skip to the answer - Do you believe this move for him to go down has been better, worse or the same, and what is your reason for your answer?
  12. I'm streaming though my atari and it looks pretty good so far .
  13. Yep... sounded like a skin graph sliding down it. The makeup of old playgrounds vs new playgrounds is probably a good commentary on life.
  14. OSUw vs Cal Poly tomorrow afternoon should be a good one. Looking forward to my man the Lumberjack taking on Truax. Should be a lot of close competitive matches. GO BEAVS!
  15. He is in charge of Alumni relations and helps raise money for the program. He is still instrumental in keeping it afloat. Impressive to see him still involved and helping that program.
  16. haha... you were a wuss if you got the canopy to cool off that seat.
  17. Good ol Lazarus tractor right there.
  18. Some of us never left... I can still take a tree out with a 76 Ford F250 highboy.
  19. Yes...that's exactly what I said - 3 wins last year over current top 12 heavies... because there is no other comparison, since you know, he isn't wrestling heavyweight this year. Do you have a better comparison of how he did last year at Heavy to how he is doing this year at 197? If so, I am all ears.
  20. I agree that it's better for the team lineup - and maybe for down the road as well. However, prior to this season when it was announced he was going to 197, there was a lot of chatter on this (old) board that he was going to be way better at 197 and possibly a title threat.... I see it as similar results overall and more of a trade off at this point... but he could kick it up a notch come NCAA.
  21. Yep.... and two of their coaches that had great success there, including their head coach Mendoza, went to Boise State only to get axed in a year. Mendoza could have had a good think going if he had stayed.... but a head coach can only do so much fundraising before getting burned out.
  22. Haha... I was just typing the exact same thing.... Bakersfield has to self fund the program.... they have had a turn over in coaches that get little support.... but here they are still wrestling. They have a tough go just keeping the program afloat...anyone doing that deserves huge kudos and the entire wrestling communities support. The last thing any wrestling fan or coach wants to see is a dropped program....And I thought you were a Pac 12 supporter "NearFall"
  23. Are you saying that his 3 wins last year over current top 12 Heavyweights is the "same thing that can be said" as one win over Rocky Elam? What is his best win besides Elam? There are 5 pretty good bets to AA at 197..... that leaves 3 spots where he would be fighting with the rest of 197 and he has lost to two of them that I don't consider good bets..... 2 spots by your calculations at Hwt.... He was the 19th seed at the NCAA last year....He's ranked 17 now.... seems like it was a trade off to go from HWT to 197, UNLESS he puts it in high gear in the post season and ends up an AA.
  24. Patrick Glory disagrees.
  25. He had wins last year over 3 current top 12 heavyweights. I think 197 is a little better overall, but heavy has it's own hammers. I would say it's a trade-off. It has been better for the team lineup but I am not sure it has been a better move for him personally. We will see at the NCAA.
