  1. No doubt Dake would be great at Greco, but could he be good enough to win or medal at the World’s? My thought is that he would probably come up a little short of making our team, but you never know.
  2. I understand that his mind and heart he wants that Gold medal in LA, but I think his age and his frame are against him. DT could do it because he’s got the frame to be an 86 guy.
  3. So, what does Dake do now? Does he drop back to 79? Does he follow DT into coaching? Personally I would love to see Dake get into coaching, I think it would really energize college wrestling even more. I know it DT’s first season but wow what a success.
  4. I expect Snyder to win in 26, but I think by the time 28 rolls around I think it’ll be Brooks
  5. Marcus Blaze future World/Olympic Champ or medalist? I think so.
  6. Hopefully
  7. Does anyone have much for Snyder domestically (at this point in time)?
  8. PJ Duke, are you kidding me, wow! I thought that Yianni’s experience would prevail but obviously PJ had other plans. Congrats to him. I like the youth movement, I think it’s kind of exciting.
  9. My take on Kyle Dake is that he’s undersized for 86. I know that he is an incredible wrestler, but I believe that Zahid’s size proved to be the biggest difference in this series. My next thought is what does Dake do next, go back down or does he retire from competition and follow DT into coaching, which I would love to see.
  10. I highly doubt that Snyder is going to move to Stillwater at this point in time. I can’t imagine Kyle going in and telling his wife that they are uprooting and moving halfway across the country on the heels of his incident. I think Kyle has a lot of work to do on the home front and I think that he will wrestle at Final X. Now whether or not this problem takes a toll on his wrestling, we will have to see.
  11. Also, if SnyderMan is his usual self he will tech Hayden two in a row.
  12. I read somewhere that Metcalf said that he felt good at 65 kg. But I have always wondered what if he had a chance at going 70 kg. He was always a guy who put a ton of pressure on his opponents using his strength and conditioning. I know that when James Green tried 65 he wasn’t the same. And although Metcalf handled the cut better I wonder if he would have been better off at 70.
  13. I don’t think he’s getting worse it might be that he’s just getting older. He was once the young guy, now he’s 29/30, and he’s facing a lot of young studs internationally. I don’t know his daily routine nor do I know who he’s rolling with, but he might need to see some different wrestlers in the practice room.
  14. Hendrickson….wow, obliteration. Does he make the Senior team this year?
  15. I’m really looking forward to seeing Jax Forrest competing. Best of luck to all our team members.
  16. Well I am of a different opinion, I think that adding the push out rule would add another layer to Folkstyle. I like the current Freestyle rules, the pace is far quicker and I believe the fans like it. But I recognize that Folkstyle is different and the size of a particular mat may be an issue, so unless the NCAA’s adopt this rule, this is purely argumentative.
  17. Yes, and I don’t think anyone would disagree, but it’s part of the rules. And in this particular case, the amount of push outs won.
  18. Well if Dake announces that he wants to coach, I have to believe it will be great for college wrestling, just like it was when David Taylor took the job at Ok.St. This past year with Nebraska and Ok.St.’s performances I believe was a huge factor in energizing our sport.
  19. Well Push outs are apart of the Freestyle and Greco rules. So it is what it is. Honestly though, I am a fan of the rule and I would like to see it incorporated into Folkstyle. But irregardless I thought it was a great match and I think that Mocco gave Mirasola everything he could handle.
  20. Obviously MM’s gas tank was a huge asset but watching the match I thought that once he figured out how to get to Carr’s legs that changed the outcome of this match.
  21. So the Greco team is set, and I know it’s early but my thought is that this is a good thing. I believe that these guys can now focus on improving and building towards becoming their best for the Worlds.
  22. So Zane Richards made it to the finals, so does anyone know if he has a background in Greco? Irregardless if this was his first year training full time training Greco I think that this is pretty impressive. Maybe if he stays at it he can break through.
  23. Well hopefully this injury isn’t serious and he can recover from pretty quickly.
  24. Wow these turned out to be pretty accurate.
  25. Well Snyderman walked through the tournament without much trouble. I wonder if there’s anyone in the NL room that is pushing him.
