    Honestly, I have friends who have wrestled in college. None of their sons wrestled for more than a month or so. Straight to basketball or soccer. Their daughters played field hockey with several earning athletic scholarships. Why? Because their youth coaches were infinitely better.

    Random thoughts: It's an indication that we don't live in a warrior mindset. Let's face it, wrestling is hard even for the winners. Our country is soft compared to past generations. It's why travel soccer has millions of kids. It's easy and mom can get drunk at the Saturday morning game. Are Notre Dame or Oregon contemplating the reinstatement of their once solid wrestling programs? How about Tennessee or Syracuse?

    Where? I live in PA and most of the schools can't field a competitive team. Most of the teams have kids who were cut from basketball or cross country teams. Why? Because you are counting girl folkstyle wrestlers? I guess. If it's so popular, why have we seen so many programs dropped at the D1 level? We used to have over 100 teams. In 10 years we will be lucky to have 25 teams.

    First we blamed Title 9. No we are blaming the NIL. Our society is weak in terms of the commitment it requires to wrestle, let alone by an AA. Maybe, we can take a shot at synchronized swimming or gaming? That should definitely wake up the ADs to reinstate Notre Dame and Oregon wrestling.

    Nicka'sl biggest win in his life was over Myles Martin. Martin was his biggest loss (2x). Bo never made a senior world team as the #1 guy. That is all we need to know. But, yeah.....the best 86 kg in the world?

    What's the big deal with Steveson? He came back after an ill advised wwe career. Yeah, he gave thr nfl a go too. Now he's back in his apparent 6th season at junior varsity. That's why no one cares. It's absurd.

    McHenry is a great wrestler, but in no way is he a world class athlete. What other sports does he competed in? Competitive pull ups? Or professional tag?

    Really? 103 kinda sucks with two guys grabbing each other's ankles and rolling around for 6 minutes between 9th graders. The were little kids. That's the point.

    I was in a suite in Philly the last time they had ncaas (2011 ?). I paid $500 for one ticket. It was fantastic.

    It's an intriguing match up, but it isn't in an Olympic weight. Taylor lost at 86 kg while Saduleav was banned at 97 kg. It's a great match up, but it's not one of the best match ups in freestyle history.

    Yes, goodbye to grounding. No. You always have control if you expose your opponent. You literally can't accidentally expose your opponent. No. There is never a tie in freestyle. One wrestler is always winning and vica versa. There simply aren't any tie bouts now.

    You're grasping for straws that aren't there to justify you're predictable l, weak argument. Did you care about Beard grey shirting then redshirting for psu? No. But, Beard still has ncaa eligibility, without injury 7 years later.
