  1. I very much believe that he is enjoying it and is looking forward to reaping the benefits of what he has built at SDSU in his time there. He spent much of his previous years in a fundraiser role trying to finance the new wrestling facility. The new facility is built (its great, by the way - one of the best college facilities in the country) and now he can get back to spending his time focusing more on wrestling and less on financing, which he has stated that he is looking forward to. I hope that he makes SDSU his home and builds his legacy there!
  2. Hahn is going to be linked to every job opening that comes up. Stressful for us Jackrabbits.
  3. His seeding will likely depend on the Bill Farrell and the Senior Nationals resutls.
  4. I suppose that Lee had no part in the decision as he is a robot. I also suppose that it has nothing to do with him being injury prone from a young age and that it has to be Iowa that destroyed his body and not anything genetic..
  5. Don't forget Andrew Alirez who just beat Aliyev 8-0 a couple months back. He will definitely be a factor.
  6. He's a good sized 174 but 86 kg is another 15 pounds up.
  7. Agreed 100%. Taz is already big at 97kg because of his height and weight. Looked like he has plenty of horsepower through the combo of strength and leverage. I suspect he stays at 97kg and doesn't ever look to "fill out his frame".
  8. And did Snyder then skip 4 years of college?
  9. Yeah I was thinking of the Dake loss more as in JB’s prime. Unless I am not recalling properly I believe that the Lewis loss for John Smith was when John was in his prime. He already had a world title when he lost to Randy I think. But you are correct that he went in to beat him best two of three to win the spot.
  10. JB to Dake, Smith to Randy Lewis
  11. What if we just eliminated positional choice in folkstyle and every period started on your feet?
  12. Well he did smile during the medal ceremony and prove that he is not a complete robot sent to destroy...
  13. He has a different frame than Snyder and Sadulaev. He looked plenty big at the weight to me. He is tall and long.
  14. It’s the classic pique vs longevity argument. Taylor at his best has been incredible. The same reason why John Smith is regarded as the best and higher than JB.
  15. Don't you lump in pineapple on pizza with well done steaks....... One is delicious, the other an abomination.
  16. I think he is going up to 86kg and I don't see him beating the 3 other guys listed. Similar to Dierringer
  17. Who do you think are legit threats to make the team next year at each weight class? 57kg and 65kg probably go the deepest 57: Vito, Zane, Gilman, Fix, Spencer, Suriano 65: Zain, Nick Lee, Yianni, James Green, McKenna, Alirez, Shapiro? 74: Dake, JB, Nolf, Starocci, Mesenbrink? 86: DT, Brooks, Zahid 97: Snyder, Cox 125: Gable, Parris
  18. Sorry I thought you were listing who you thought could win the spot. You are correct that those are the guys that are currently qualified. There will be additional qualifiers that will be added as the season goes on. https://www.themat.com/news/2023/september/15/2024-u-s-olympic-team-trials-qualifiers-as-of-september-15
  19. 57kg Spencer and Nicky also 65kg Alirez
  20. 1. DT 2. Gable 3. Dake 4. Snyder 5. Zain 6. Vito 7. Parris 8. Cox 9. Brooks 10. Zahid
  21. Whoever comes out at 57kg for the US should have a great chance to medal next year. We should see Zane, Vito, Gilman, Fix, Spencer and Suriano all battle it out for that spot.
  22. As he showed when he got to his shot. Wish he would pull the trigger more but we have been saying that about Dake for a decade and he has done plenty of winning regardless...
  23. What a run for Stevan Micic. Beats Uguev (World and Olymic Champ), Abakarov (World Champ) and the Higuchi (world champ) to win a world championship!
  24. Not sure about that C+1 on the step out...
