Interesting choice. ISU has a lot of guys competing for 133a. Zach Redding (R12), Ramazan Attasauov (was ranked last year), Evan Frost (up and down redshirt year that included a win over Biscoglia) and now Garret Grice.
Fair enough. A lot of Iowa haters act like the Brands brothers are personally responsible for Spencer's injuries.
I personally disagree with you and think that Spencer has competed every time that he was healthy enough to compete at a high level. Unfortunately, that has only been one US Open where he wrecked the competetion.
I’m not saying you have an alias. You have not been a part of this board long enough to see @jajensen09 in all of his Nebraska glory during the season. He is the corn husker version of you. You eat Casey’s pizza, he eats Runza.
ACC football is not as bad as you are making it out to be. Florida State, Pitt, UNC, Wake Forest, NC State, Miami, Louisville, Syracuse have all been ranked in the last couple years.
Did the Brands bros really cost a a healthy Spencer Lee or is he just injury prone? His injury history extends back to high school. Torn ACL, torn labrum in high school.
If he gets hit for stalling could he not just cut his opponent and get another takedown? Starrocci is probably the last guy I’m cheering for in NCAA’s but he’s very capable in neutral and has no problem getting away. He isn’t squeaking out a bunch of wins by RT.
I think freshman and sophomore year versions of Carter spent more time stalling. This year he really just pounded everyone outside of one close match with Nelson Brands.
If Messenbrink transfers in, I think he beats Facundo out for the spot. The whole “Haines is moving up to 165 next year” thing has kind of been debunked. He has stated that he doesn’t have a hard cut at all and walks around at 165.
