NIL just started a couple of years ago.

Brandon Meredith upgraded to Robbie Howard upgraded to Drew Hildabrandt upgraded to Gary Steen upgraded to Braeden Davis. It did not work out for those guys but they kept trying to roll someone new out there.

The fact that you have to go back 10 years and select a former AA in his sophmore year, R12 his junior year proves that PSU will seek to upgrade those spots not performing. The exception always prove the rule.

Few and far between. This new era with the NIL really ramping up and the transfer portal being so accessible I highly doubt that PSU would not be looking to upgrade a spot like that.

Here is a question to ponder… Does PSU keep guys in their lineup for multiple years that go 1-2 at NCAA’s?

Swenson is fun to watch. He does not back down from anyone.

TBD on if Swenson or Alek Martin are wrestling this year. Both sustained knee injuries. We will see.

I’m not sure why people are acting like it’s very surprising that guys at Iowa that are getting recruited over late in their careers or are buried in the depth chart behind young studs are rumored to be leaving. They probably want to go somewhere that they have a chance to start. Makes sense to me.

Jamison looked big at 141 and I believe his father has stated that it was a very tough cut for him. With Williams moving on, I would think he slots nicely into 149. I think Cael Hughes wins the spot over Carter Young at 141 if Hughes cannot make 133. If the rumors of Hughes partaking in some of the same extracurricular activities as Williams are true, then perhaps that had a factor in Hughes missing weight at WTT.

Anyone know if Nolf will be done competing after his move to TX? If he is still competing, he could be in the mix at 79kg also.

I would guess that Marstellar and Dierringer will be the biggest tests domestically. Would be interesting to see Starocci, KOT and Carr in the field. I would think that Carr will want to make a freestyle career at 74kg though.

I have to assume that CowboyYe2024 referred to RBY as the villain from the standpoint of being a cowboy fan. Fix couldn't beat RBY and therefore was the villain.
