  1. The underhook is his set up to score. He is not scoring from just going out and throwing an underhook lol. Underhooks set up hrow big singles, inside steps, push-push-pull snaps, etc.
  2. Hidlay controls his opponents with his underhooks as well as any single wrestler does with any single tie up in NCAA wrestling right now. He uses it to control position in his matches and scores off of it. Reminiscent to how the Iranians use the underhook.
  3. He just lost to Trey Munoz. Coleman won't be #1. It will be Brooks or Keck
  4. Boo’s style doesn’t fit into any program lol. He’s like 6’2” wrestling 133
  5. McNeil (UNC) Dec Cornella (Cornell) 4-0
  6. I would say 149 is a toss up also.
  7. Where do you find the weigh in sheets?
  8. Pretty wild that Jax Forrest (hs freshman) beat Ungar this year.
  9. Trey Munoz beats Marcus Coleman 8-4
  10. This is true. Swiderski is a true freshman though. Cornella had a greyshirt year where he did not have any particularly high level wins. Eye test says that Swiderski is an AA threat day 1.
  11. Agreed. Redding is tough and Cornella's best career win up to this point is Joseph Zargo.
  12. John Smith is fun to listen to. Does a great job calling the Olympics.
  13. Seems like you would have better luck finding a place for his sisters equestrian career in the cowboy capitol of the world (Wyoming) that you would in Cleveland....
  14. Sloan is a bit of an enigma. When he’s right, he’s capable of beating anyone. He has been in the U20 and U23 finals. He also just lost to the Virginia Tech kid in Vegas. I hope he can put together a solid weekend in March and AA to finish our his career.
  15. Thoughts from Frost arena on the dual 125 - Quick pin for Cronin. He looked healthy and shot off a cannon. Slick cradle. He looked like an AA contender today. Pin Cronin 133- Dryden is loooonngg. Neither guy did much. Cardinal did not really threaten Boo. Dec Dryden (4-1 I believe) 141- Coin flip match. Hardy got riding time by 1 or 2 seconds to push the match to OT and had a nice Td in OT. 141 has parity from 4-19 ranked guys. Dec Hardy 7-5 OT 149- Dominant performance by Martin. Neither guys was very high level but Martin is coming along nicely. Maj Dec Martin 8-0 157- Robb is just so tough. Wish he would have kept his original commitment to SDSU went Bono left. Swenson hung in and wrestled him as tough as you could have hoped for. Dec Robb 8-2 I believe 165- Mr. Gator Bacon Tanner Cook does it again with a 30 second pin. Guys know it’s coming and just can’t stop it. Pin Cook 174- Labs controlled the match. Very dominate 4-0 finish. Devos was in deep in a single but that’s only half the battle with Labs who passes the leg better than anyone, ask Mekhi Lewis. Dec Labbs 4-0 184- Another coin flip match. Pinto is going to be very solid for the Huskers the coming years. Maj Dec Pinto 11-2 (was 5-2 and King tried throw with 10 seconds left) 197- The version of Sloan that wrestled today can win an NCAA title. Allred has a ways to go to end up on the podium. Dec Sloan 12-0 HWT- Nebraska kid hung in there much better than anticipated and almost stole one from Nevills. Nevills gets it done in OT. Dec Nevills 5-3 OT Nebraska 22- SDSU 17 Atmosphere in Frost was great today. A decent amount of Huskers fans made the trip to watch the dual. If you have never been to a dual at Frost Arena, it’s worth the trip. Go Jacks!
  16. Illinois - Williams brothers?
  17. We have an Austin O’Connor (won 9-4) sighting. Also Clay Lautt lost to Will Miller.
  18. Wichita, KS: known wrestling hotbed
  19. He looks like he would be a big 174 pounder to me
  20. I am not sure why this does not bode well for the future? They also landed another stud transfer in Buchannan.
  21. Couple of notes from this dual Gfeller's roll through leg grab is deadly. Not sure how he gets it work but has a high conversion rate for him. Joey Prata is sticky from the top position. Plott broke Roberts and looked very good. Moore pulls of the win over Voinovich in a match where he did absolutely nothing offensively. 165 does not look to be the right weight class for Sheets but 157 does appear to be the right weight class for Gfeller. Smith has made comment that they will both be moving down to 157 and 149 respectively.
  22. Any chance tOSU gives Hepner a chance to win the weight class over Kharchla?
  23. McKinney has elite hair.
