There are many, many more people that stand to profit or otherwise directly benefit off of fossil fuels than green energy, including politicians. The fossil fuel industry is a fat, bloated pig.

The problem is that this has limited benefit to 99% of the people in this country. It actually creates more problems for us because much of the Arab world hates us as a result of our blind support for Israel, or at least a lot more than they otherwise would. This would be bad if it didn't cost us any money, but the fact that are spending hard-earned taxpayer dollars to make this happen makes it even worse. Some expenditures are good and justified. In fact, many of them are. Not this though. 100% wasteful.

You miss the point. Plenty of people here that are having financial problems and plenty of bigots here in this country. Let's deal with them first before we give ridiculous amounts of money to Israel and trying to "fix" Hamas.

They took their land from them, and have continued to take land since 1948. Actually, the U.N. did that, which we're part of, but Israel didn't complain. With the numerous atrocities that Israel has also committed, I don't see how they couldn't feel animosity toward Israel. They happen to be Jewish, but its really the Israeli and U.S. governments that are responsible for the hatred, not people of that religion. Zionism is the problem. Welcome to the real world, where when you brutalize people and commit genocide over generations, their surviving family members and friends, and others in their ethnic group hold grudges against you forever and some will do whatever they can for vengeance.
