  1. It is a fast growing sport for sure. There are too many small schools that think adding women's wrestling will reverse the sad financial situation that they are in. The schools don't have adequate facilities, want to hire 1 coach to cover both programs, or hire a coach and only pay them $40K. I won't even get into the Head Coach that was breast feeding her kid while driving the van home from a tournament or the assistant coach with blue hair that goes to all events with ripped up jeans. That is not a look that I would want for my school if I was the AD. Plus she looked like she fell headfirst into a tackle box. How many D1 or B1G schools are standing in line to have a slice of that?
  2. No it really isn't. It is a circus that the B1G schools don't want any part of.
  3. If more D1 programs add women's wrestling, that will be the death of women's D3. The market is currently flooded. Too many programs and not enough girls want to wrestle in college.
  4. Sure the coach can respond, it's called NAIA! No Athletic Investigation Allowed
  5. Probably a good thing. I don't know if he cracks the lineup at Iowa. Jesuroga already knows not to kick start a Ferrari (unlike the OU HWT). They already know one another, as they were all wrestling together as utes in Texas.
  6. Plus dad will open a fine Italian restaurant! Iowans have to be happy about that, no more Pizza Ranch!
  7. Taylor LaDon't
  8. They are not the unbreakable frames
  9. No but my optometrist did
  10. That throw looked like something Randy Lewis did a lot
  11. Jim ALMOST said coffee grinder!
  12. He also won the Hodge at least once! He was an OSU guy that didn't want to cut as much as John wanted. He was told he wouldn't be able to win anywhere else. He transferred to UNC and won it 3 times. He was a total stud!
  13. Just glad he didn't show up wearing his jammies again lol
  14. Bucknell has fans? Asking for a friend of course
  15. Don't worry, they will mess that up.
  16. That's a no-no?
  17. Seems like there were a lot of challenges!
  18. Byrd looked terrible. Why did the ref stop there match and not call injury time?
  19. I moved all meetings and trainings to Tuesday (I will have an NCAA hangover on Monday). A coworker asked if I was going to be watching the NCAAs?! The only appropriate workplace response was "YEAH! Nobody likes a quitter!"
  20. I figured if I worked hard today, then I wouldn't be missed too much tomorrow. Kinda like chocolate cake and diet coke right?
  21. I got to the office early today, worked through lunch, and might stay late working on reports that are not due until next week. All of that just so I can be a worthless pos tomorrow!
  22. Most of the complaints came from the bigger schools. They didn't want their kid getting knocked around by a D2 stud.
  23. You would figure that the NCAA would look at it from a money grab position, and add back the NAIA, D3, & D2 top placing kids. I am surprised we don't have a 64 man bracket!
