Or they work illegally, which as I said plays into my opinion that we have an illegal employment problem more than anything. I can tell you that around here a lot of businesses will look the other way when it comes to hiring for low level jobs. A lot of immigrants, legal or not, work very hard at whatever they do. I know it's anecdotal, but a friend of mine's father immigrated here, when he was coming up the corporate ladder, he was putting in 70+ hours while getting his MBA. Then afterwards he was the kind of guy who would still put in those same hours until he was 70. His kids had to stage an intervention to keep him from essentially working himself into an early grave, because he would have if they didn't stop him.
