    I ask this in all sincerity: Do you work in higher education? Because your stance on "working with administrators" is actually reasonable and makes sense. But that isn't the current reality in higher education.

    I would say they aren't recruiting big time in-state recruits well. Barnett is from Wisconsin, but wasn't a huge recruit out of high school and Hamiti is from out of state.

    Just think if he didn't redshirt in middle school, he would have had the opportunity to compete in four NCAA tournaments.

    There were ups and downs with Barry Davis. He had some really good teams and some really bad teams. They lost to D3 UW-LaCrosse and also won a team trophy at NCAA's during his tenure.

    Yeah, so baseball teams would lose whole weekend series at home.

    They were talking about using Dallas/Fort Worth as a competition hub. The teams from the coasts would meet there. This is for the “Olympic” sports. Football and basketball would still travel to the coasts.

    They beat Oklahoma and Virginia. A better tournament team, they took 2nd at Midlands. Not setting the world on fire but will finish top 25 at D1 NCAAs.

    No. He went to the OTC out of high school. Then to Nebraska and competed unattached the fall of his freshman year before going D2.

    And maybe programs like Penn State are using their own practice room to get better, instead of relying heavily on NCAA matches. They can provide great wrestling partners while having the ability to control variables such as intensity, recovery, weight management, etc.

    He shot in deep twice, then had no power/energy to finish, or prevent back points, or get out from the bottom. Just the way I saw it. The two shots were quick and deep, though...

    When did the coaches turn in these rankings? Just looking at 125, they have Ayala over Ramos, Caleb Smith at 7 and McKee at 18. Were these rankings due before this weekend, or were the coaches so busy with their own teams this weekend that they just did not consider any recent results?

    There might be an injury/illness/weight issue with Smith. He did not look good against Minny.
