I've actually been happy with most of the draws outside of Dom, unless you thought that she was easily the 2nd best at the weight and would've made the finals. She isn't beating Japan at any point in the tournament. Or Coon, there was 0 chance he was going anywhere with that one.

From my view, the ref made motions and said something about Rau just pushing and keeping his head down when he awarded the passivity. The caution and 2 was for something with Rau’s hip. I didn’t see it live but that’s the motion he made.

Updated bracket -

UWW rules seem to be she gets removed completely from the bracket lien she never existed. Which, I don’t like. I think she should still get silver as she did all the work yesterday. It’s not like it didn’t happen. She earned the finals and should just not be given the opportunity to wrestle for the gold.

Was told that CUB will wrestle Sarah in the finals now.

Wow. Vinesh missed weight and is getting DQ’d. I’ve only seen this in Indian media though.

No US section. People spread out all over and in their own groups. Everyone’s seats change each session it feels like. But the seats aren’t the most comfy or spacey since it’s a temporary structure. I haven’t sat in the car D yet, tomorrow morning I do, but the C was probably the best views in the house for my money.

It was a phone held by the ladies and given to them to take a selfie and then given back to the girl. It didn’t look like it was expected.

It was her shoulder. Popped out a couple times. So did her finger. Why she shot with a bad shoulder and up 8 I would never know. Just back around. They aren’t going to caution her out with the 20-30 seconds left.

Hope this is what you're looking for. I had to put it in a google sheet since the table was too big to past here. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1x77sZJUx5rsgzDikS-M6DoUWhJ8OV6dig7LSZ-26-rM/edit?usp=sharing

Almost like they are just making things up as they go along knowing few will fact check and just spread any misinformation they see. Odd indeed.

Bernard has this one right. She has never had any issues with testing before or after the one match with a Russian where they won’t say anything about the “test” they ran to besides it wasn’t testosterone. The testing organization, whose head is Russian, is so corrupt that the IOC banned them and is running the boxing tournament themselves. It shouldn’t be getting any more press because it’s completely false.

Proposed Sport Roster Limits- starting 2025-26 Season

Since I haven't seen the actual regulation written and all the nuances and the issues with opt-in vs. opt-out, which could change my opinion, but this is where I'm currently at with the limited info. If Borelli is correct and only those that opt into the revenue sharing can participate in NCAA championships, you'll see another dramatic shift in college athletics. I think most schools will opt-in, power 5 or not, because of football and basketball. That's what drives the money for the departments and if they aren't in the NCAA championship then they aren't making money. Just because they opt-in, doesn't mean they have to pay wresters, and I doubt most will. I think you'll see most schools pay football/basketball and the women to balance out Title 9. Schools that don't opt-in will create their own championship and pursue their own media deals and probably break away from the NCAA because the NCAA would be useless to them. Or they will just cut to the minimum number of sports and opt-in. Other notes I saw asked: NCAA schools need the larger limits on football rosters because they can't sign anyone whenever they need. They are stuck with the roster they start with, unlike the NFL. In reality, the NFL roster is unlimited because you can replace any one at any time. Colleges also tend to have more injuries (my observations) and other issues that can force kids out. In the NFL you tend to show up no matter what every time because you're getting paid. For people over the 30 roster limit, that is just NCAA roster. There is nothing that says they can't have a club team or RTC that has the same coaches as the NCAA team. I would imagine this could be a path some schools would take. The guys that aren't on the roster though wouldn't be able to get the same benefits as those on the roster (Travel, food, scholarship, practice time, etc.) and they wouldn't be able to compete that year no matter what. This could be a spot where redshirts are used. Don't roster them but still have around. Exemptions will be made for the Academies and maybe the Ivies due to their well-established rules already. Since the opt-in is specific to P5, we don't have a clue what it means for everyone else yet and I'm they they don't either. Bottom-line: The NCAA has so much to figure out in this next year or so and it could change real quick. Better just hang on and see how it shakes out. None of us really know. -

Good mention on the endowments/fundraising. This is probably going to be what most schools tell programs. "You can have as many scholarships as you want, as long as you raise the money for them." -

Here's the most straight forward I can make it: There is no longer a cap on the number of scholarships a team can give out. There is however, a cap on the number of roster spots, which is now 30. That means a school can give out anywhere between 0 and 30 full scholarships now. But, because every other sport is getting and increase and Title IX implications, schools will now starting ranking sports and diverting funds to the sports they rank the most important (most likely football, M/W Basketball, and other W sports that balance out football). More programs are going to have to cut guys to get to the 30 limit than those that will give more scholarships. That will spread around guys to different programs but I fear the overall number of scholarships being given will drop. This may also trickle down to the D2, D3, NAIA, NJCAA level as some of those guys may turn that way. Well funded programs are going to get better and separate themselves more because they will offer more scholarships. Programs that aren't ranked very high on priority by their school will probably lose scholarships. Programs that relied on high roster numbers and didn't provide very many scholarships will be in trouble now. This will in no way help any program other than those that want, and can provide, more scholarships. I think it will end up turning into an all or nothing for programs where they either get a good number of scholarships or none at all. -
The non-seat assignment is a thing for big events like this. The World Cup does the same thing. You can check the resale site as well for tickets that list the row/seat in it. There are 2 sessions but only 3 weights and a 16 person bracket. I'm assuming they are doing placing/repechage at night and the rest in the morning. So only 42 matches in the morning sessions and 21 at night.

Joined the lottery. Won the right to purchase in the first round where I got all but 3-4 sessions. Then periodically checked when they did drops until I got the others. Pretty easy actually.
-
Yep! Can’t wait.
-
I'll be there for all the sessions.

Here's some fun trivia for you guys interested in transfers. Name the former D1 NQ who wrestled for 5 schools in 5 years across 4 divisions (D1, D2, NAIA, NJCAA). I'll give you a hint to start with. He transferred the last time because his institution closed.

I don't think he's talking geographically. He's talking relationship-wise. Brooks Black is a coach there and they have had numerous Union County wrestlers, like the Ervins. The Raneys also compete with their RTC.
