That's not going to be enforceable because the courts aren't going to let the NCAA to backwards on transfers without executive exceptions. They aren't going to be able to limit what a regular student is permitted to do. There are a ton of valid reasons that a student would want to transfer between when the portal closes and the next school year. The NCAA isn't going to be able to stop someone for doing it. Let's say that magically they are able to enforce the rule, you are going to see every athlete in every sport enter the portal just in case they need to go somewhere else. That's going to cause even more chaos that there is now.

I mentioned Lilledahl as an issue with using HS as the determining factor. It opens up more arguments for which to use. He started in MO but spent more years in PA. I wouldn't have a problem if people classified Tinker as Cali either, but how do I know that he moved and isn't just out there for school and coming back every summer or break? Or that something happened and he is living with a relative for a little bit? It opens up too many scenarios to do cleanly. Hometown is clean and easy and what the wrestler says their state is.

Because the hometown is where the wrestlers themselves say they are from. I'm going to default to them on determination of home state. Attending a HS isn't limited to where you are from. You can go virtually anywhere you want. Also, what happens when you have guys at different HS state. Look at Lilledahl. Should he be considered PA because he spent more time in HS there?

You have to complete 20% of your degree each year with enforcement starting after year 2. After 2 years you have to have 40% complete, 3 years is 60%, etc. These can be completed during the summer as the determination is done prior to the semester. The only thing you can't get around is previous fall/spring semester requirements like minimum credit hours (18). Here is a good rundown

Everyone keeps saying this but i disagree. The Pavia ruling was the only one that really changed some eligibility, and that was only for a year. It didn't last. There have been a few one-offs like Trinity Chambliss, but on a wide-scale, the rules for actual eligibility haven't changed. To my knowledge, no one has challenged the deferment/clock rule, so that could happen. Look at Alvarez last year. I'll maintain that Ruth is out of eligibility without special circumstances/waiver or the clock gets determined to be illegal.

You're clock doesn't stop when unenroll from school. 2026 should've still counted unless there was a medical issue and he is getting a med redshirt or he joined the military, went on a mission, etc.

The calculator only does highest point scorer at each weight. If multiple guys were AAs at 149, only the top scoring one will show.

I've got 9 too. If you go to stats --> state it will list the AA's by state. Along with some other nice stats.

I think the numbers disagree with you. In the last 25 years, they've finished as high as 3rd, 3x. They weren't even top-10 (11th) this year.
