  1. I to was going to bring this up, but decided not to. He won and got first, but he didn’t look like his normal self. Couple hard tough matches, Semis and Finals. Never in much danger but he wasnt aggressive after getting the first TDs. Maybe illness or an injury had him out. But I found it questionable that he didn’t go against OU but went today. Also, really hoping Sneeds injury to his elbow or arm isn’t that serious. He was giving Zerban a great match before getting hurt. Also why no Mizzou wrestlers at 65 and 74? Maybe the 5 match limit and they are saving em for another time, but no way some of the non true freshman shouldn’t be put in to fill those spots. As far as Seltzer goes, mind blowing is all I can say. Most including me thought he’d be performing better. Still time to right the ship, but as of now, we have some holes.
  2. Figured as much once a poster earlier said he was a top 10 recruit. According to the brackets he Tech’d Hawks and beat Harman 7-4.
  3. He won, 4/3 or 5/3. Tough match vs the Minny wrestler.
  4. They only showed 1 mat on TV, I didn’t get to see any 3rd place matches. Also there wasn’t a finals match at 149, not sure what happened there. Do you know the score of Mcnelly and Harmon? They wrestled in the Semis. Harmon be Salazar for 3rd, do you know who won?
  5. Hawks just lost to, I’m guessing is the Minny backup, pretty convincingly in the finals. No scoreboard on espn+ I think it was 15-4/16-4.
  6. Huge win for Hawks over Salazar of Minny at 184 just now. Hawks with a TD and 4 backs early in the first. Salazar was OB on his back for 15 second minimum. Hawks booth feet at least 2 ft inside the boundary. Should’ve been a fall, but wasn’t called. Hawks wins 12-5 with RT
  7. No wrestler entered at 65 or 74 for the tigers. Found that interesting.
  8. Track
  9. Seltzer, Edmond and Both Elams are shown on the brackets. Big Elam and Seltzer have wrestled already. The Cougar Clash is on espn+, but only showing Mat 1. Still I’ll take that. Espn for the win lol.
  10. I hope this isn’t the case, but one would have to wonder. It’s happening, not just Rocky and Mizzou, but throughout wrestling.
  11. Anyone know what’s going on with Rocky? Didn’t wrestle a lot last year, and hadn’t wrestled at all this year. Injuries? Him and Buchanan have had some battles in the past. Would’ve been a nice early season test for both.
  12. This has me sick to my stomach. To have grown up 15 minutes from the University this is a sad, sad day. I spent a lot of hours watching and attending both dual meets and Tournaments, both College and Little League at Lindenwood. Can’t believe it for one bit at the moment that they are dropping the most successful sport they’ve ever had. Unbelievable is an understatement. Is this what happens when you try to be bigger than what you should be? D2 was for us, not D1. Terrible, just terrible.
  13. Mizzou gets a commitment from #19 in the country outta Wisconsin tonight. I do not know much about him, but glad to have him. Was Bono after him?
  14. Not saying it is or could happen, but if he were to hit the portal, I could only image the $$$ that would be thrown his way. He seems to love Wisconsin and Bono, so I don’t see it. But hypothetically I can think it lol
  15. I understand that. Things are definitely different from years past. With LU moving up to D1, and Mizzou having several GAC wrestlers on the roster I would like to see them continue to support the LU open.
  16. I was surprised Mizzou didn’t send more wrestlers. Being about 90 minutes from St Charles, Mizzou in the past has sent 15-20 wrestlers. This year 3/4. Obviously they had a dual on Sunday, but to see only a couple attendees was out of the ordinary.
  17. Lots wrestlers not wrestling today. Hawks up at 197, no R Elam. State missing several wrestlers.
  18. What I would find interesting is someone (Willie, Intermat rankers etc) go back through a recruiting class and re-rank the top 100 once that class college careers are over. Maybe it’s been done and I missed it, but they do it often in NFL draft type scenarios, called re-drafting X year of the NFL draft. Would be interesting to see based on results who would move up and who would move down or out of said rankings. I feel most of the top 20 outside of a few would normally stay at or around their original rankings. However I’m most interested in how many 51-100 would move up. I think and this is my opinion 51-100 allows for the most improvement or leeway to move around.
  19. Unsure what happened to the original 157 bout, but here is the replacement match.
  20. Ryan Deakin? Does this include the cancelled Covid year AA?
  21. Just seeing the post, didn’t realize someone guessed him earlier. One of the best to ever wear a Mizzou singlet.
  22. Willie Miklus highest without winning?
  23. Yes you are correct, my fault.
  24. Will Brooks also beat Chandler in the Black and Gold and possibly an open(Lindenwood) maybe and Smith stayed with Chandler.
  25. I assure you I’m exactly that, a fan. No dog in the fight. Been watching Hawks since GAC days when I would come home and catch a dual or tournament that FHC was attending. We will see how it plays out. Both top 50 recruits coming out, will be interesting for sure.
