  1. TJ went to and took 4th for Cal State Fullerton at 125. He would’ve greatly benefited from the now extinct 118 weight class. I’m 41, wrestled at FHC starting in 98-99, and was just a measly SQ as a Sophomore at 119. Not only did I watch TJ from his Sophomore year throughout the conclusion of his career, I once had the privilege of getting destroyed by him at a freestyle tournament in Farmington. I had zero clue who he was, but one Gary Oxford of SCW gave me a warning beforehand. He said “ watch out for this little dude, he’s pretty good”. Absolute understatement lol. I’ve seen all three, Brewer, and both Baileys wrestle. Mac had some battles with Kyle Bradley. Tony James was good, but Brandon Wilbourn and his match at GAC Wilbourns freshman year was amazing. The GAC in my opinion, best conference top to bottom in Mo
  2. Pretty good get for ISU
  3. Cox two Fargo finals, 1-1 record? Yes a lose to Snyder, but Hill 3 loses in high school all as a freshman with 3 undefeated seasons, 4 championships. Multiple Fargo championships and runner ups. In order its Hill-1A, Schatzman-1B and Cox-2 in my opinion. This is high school only. Overall, college and post college it’s Cox hands down.
  4. The GAC conference has produced some of MO’s best wrestlers. Henson took 5th as freshman I believe at state. After the first year didn’t he stay away from the Purlers by staying a weight or two below them?
  5. Jeremiah Reno Liberty was also undefeated 4x. Although is college and post college career aren’t great, TJ Hill is arguably the best MO HIGH school wrestler. It’s between him and Schatzman in my book. Hill has more Fargo medals than any MO wrestler including the most championships
  6. What was the score when Sloan WBF Elam?
  7. Again Mizzou with 3 backups. This is not good. Hopefully we can get healthy asap.
  8. I was hoping Zeke Seltzer got back down to 133. Besides Moore I think he’s our best wrestler at the weight.
  9. No Elam, Gioffre or Moore for Mizzou.
  10. Seems the guys really like him. KOT especially. He’s a pretty good recruiter, landed Rath of PA and was in on Gaj until the last second. Him and Akren together would be a heck of a team.
  11. As much as I would like Ben to take over at Mizzou, 2 things, I don’t think Smith is leaving anytime soon. I would think Maple if anyone would be next in line. Just my guess though.
  12. Looks like no Nago, Carter or Brooks tonight.
  13. Gut feeling tells me Mizzou won’t win the B12 tournament this year.
  14. KOT wins 5-1. Possibly should’ve had another TD and backs, but it’s whatever. Surtin definitely should’ve had backs.
  15. Mylin wrestled at Lafayette(wildwood), local kid. Apparently we lack sufficient depth in the lower weights. No clue where Selzter is. Mizzou had to know Moore was sick or whatever before today. Maybe they didn’t count in Fix bumping up. Either way, Mizzou wasn’t prepared to wrestle today. Hopefully KOT stops the bleeding.
  16. Now I know how Iowa felt vs Michigan. Plain awful showing for the Tigers.
  17. How does Mizzou not have a backup at 133? Anyone is better than giving 6 automatically. Edmond has to finish clean on his shots. Had Fix dead to rights in the first and allowed the roll through. Not looking good for Mizzou.
  18. How do s Mizzou not have a backup at 133? Anyone is better than giving 6 automatically. Edmond has to finish clean on his shots. Had Fix dead to rights in the first and allowed the roll through. Not looking good for Mizzou.
  19. According to track Fix up to 141. Also no Gioffre at 149, showing Mylin vs Alvarez. Not at all good for Mizzou.
  20. That 6 points is huge. Mizzou might not be able to pull it off.
  21. Mauller and Travis attended the same High School in Mo, I know Brock is a little bit older, but I wonder if there is some familiarity between them.
  22. I’ve been thinking about this post almost all day. Smith like you said has done a great job with the recruits he’s gotten, a lot being home grown MO kids. Did he miss a couple, sure. But in all honesty, outside of Zach Bailey, Cody Brewer and one of the Lester twins, who all AA and won a Championship at Oklahoma, who else went away and AA for another D1 school? I don’t count Luis Caputo, I’d choose Stanford over Mizzou also. Clemson was at Edinburgh before Smith I believe. Point is without looking over past lineups, Smith got the right recruits to come. Couple of the Oak Park guys came back after trying other places, Connor Flynn came back home. Josh Saunders, big recruit, choose and ivy education along with Jack Darrah. So far no AA for either of those guys, and Saunders can’t make their lineup. Eierman left, as he stated in his interview that he felt at Mizzou he had a better chance to improving his freestyle aspirations. How has that worked out? As far as folk, he was going to take 1/2 the last two years anyway no matter if it was Mizzou or Iowa. Him and Nick Lee where the top dogs his last two years competing so that’s a mute point. Meanwhile Mizzou has two world jr Champs in KOT and Rocky, with a third team member in Hawks. Iowa nowhere to be found in the freestyle team outside of Desanto and Lee. Smith has gotten most of the Mo top guys, sometimes it just don’t work out. Malik Johnson, Cevion Severado, and a couple others come to mind. Who would’ve thought Vinny Zerban is the only CBC kid from those fab 4 teams to be making noise on the D1 level. Maple is doing well in the PA area for recruits lately. We got Kollin Rath, and if CoMo was closer to PA, we would’ve gotten Collin Gaj. Smith and Company do great with who they get. We might not be Penn State, but we are a top 10 program every year.
  23. In the Black and Gold meet, Selzter beat both Korbin Shepard and Peyton Moore at 133, Kade Moore didn’t not compete. Selzter then wrestled the ASU, OU duals along with the Tiger Stule invite. Both competed at the Cougar clash, Moore placed 4th with both losses to Water of WVU. Selzter 0-2 BBQ. Maybe that was the unofficial wrestle off, because Moore has been the starter since then with Zeke filling in at both 141/149 sparattically.
  24. Cook of SDSU over Jore Volk 2-1 tonight.
