  1. 6th year senior vs a true freshman. The physicality difference showed.
  2. If you read my post and your only response is that I'm a troll, yet you can't state why you actually disagree with Zain > Lee then consider why you bothered to reply to my post at all.
  3. Star and Brooks have each beaten their finals opponents before...they most likely will win. I give Haines a 25% shot of beating AOC, a defending champ. Kerk a 10% chance of beating Parris, who is just a bigger, stronger, faster version of himself with more of a gas tank. I give RBY a 50/50 with Vito given Vito's domination of Fix.
  4. Hmm, so it's not a knee injury most likely... Perhaps another part of his body is injured.
  5. I think he is the GOAT, of Iowa. But for NCAA purposes Zain had the better career. Now maybe if Lee goes onto to make an Olympic team we can say overall he had the better career...
  6. Yes, and 2 of those were by fall -- and not flukey defensive pins or "touch falls". They were deliberate, slow falls.
  7. Call me a troll, but I bet you agree with me on the ranking of Zain over Lee. Frankly, even the biggest homer can't look at their stats objectively head to head and say Lee's are better.
  8. How about cutting away from the RBY-McGee match to give us a 45 second shot of Vito walking after his match?
  9. Yianni also shoved SVN at the end of the match. He definitely seemed mad.
  10. Do you actually disagree with my argument, or any of the statistics?
  11. I think to head to head Zain just comes out on top. Both 3x champs, 2x Hodge but Zain finished with 3 undefeated seasons, had fewer losses and was never bonused. Anyone disagree? Zain Retherford 128-4, finished career with 3 consecutive undefeated seasons, 95 match win streak. (5-1-1-1) 3x champ, 2x Hodge. Never gave up bonus points, never was pinned. Spencer Lee 98-6, finished career with 1 (full) undefeated season, 47 match win streak (1-1-1-6) 3x champ, 2x Hodge. Pinned twice (Piccinni and Ramos) Is Spencer even behind Bo Nickal? I'd say there's a strong argument Bo had a better career. More wins, fewer losses, better placement and was never bonused. Only knock is Bo *only* won one Hodge. Bo Nickal 120-3, finished career with 2 consecutive undefeated seasons, 67 match win streak (2-1-1-1) 3x champ, 1x Hodge. Never gave up bonus.
  12. Assuming all win tonight: 1. Yianni (4x trumps all) 2. Carr (2x champ, beating a defending national champ 3x this year, including the finals) 3. Parris (most dominant) 4. Starocci (3x champ, undefeated) 5. Brooks (3x champ, 1 loss)
  13. Iowa could use another elite Stanford transfer.
  14. Good for Spencer. Must have been tough to see another teammate lose by fall though.
  15. As a Penn State fan I would love to see 5/5 in the finals again. But I expect RBY, Haines and Kerk to lose. So yes, there will be bookend losses. Starocci and Broooks win it though. Oh well, I'll have to console myself with the fact that Penn State only won NCAAs by 50 points over Iowa.
  16. The only question is whether he truly could not wrestle today. Methinks if he had won last night he wouldn't be MFF today...
  17. I stand corrected. Read the information (incorrect) on the Iowa board.
  18. I am hearing he is not even in Tulsa anymore
  19. Much like Lee, his game is heavily dependent on brute strength and physicality. This style leads to a lot of injuries, hence...what you are saying now.
  20. Apparently he isn't even in the city anymore, much less the arena to support his teammates. What gives? Is he having emergency surgery? As the undisputed leader of the Hawkeye team I think his teammates would have appreciated his moral support and presence as they fight out the medal rounds. And what about his best friend and mentee, Real Woods, who has a tough final tonight? Just find it odd that a leader of men would vanish unless there is a legit medical reason he had to leave Tulsa.
  21. As a vocal SVN critic, I have to give him his due. 12 seed finishes 3rd in his first NCAA tournament. Well done, young man, well done!
