  1. I don't own a boat!! Money evaporates with those things. mspart
  2. I would love to make that. I have two briskets leftover. I'm getting hungry, except for the Fair food I ate yesterday. But I'm getting there. Since this is a thread on smoking, and I don't know what sousing is, can you explain please? That looks soooooo good! mspart
  3. Possibly because you were taught your multiplication tables and learned division and then percent made sense. Younger people don't have that kind of advantage because the calculator and phones can do all the math you need to do. No need to cloud the brain with useless math facts. mspart
  4. And what does the Bible say about Lot and his daughters? They knew him. While being clear it is also vague. I do not disagree that there are passages in the Bible that are "racy". Song of Solomon comes to mind. But these are nothing compared to the "graphic" content being removed from school libraries. Do you think it is appropriate to show and explicitly describe sex positions, sexual conduct whether hetero or homo or pan or bi etc for our school age children? Lets start with elementary school age children. I'll settle for that. I personally don't think this content is good for middle and high school age children. You can address them too if you like. I'm not saying you are wrong, but I would like to see you produce an example of books that have been dropped that are not always "graphic". That would be interesting. I can certainly show you books that are "graphic" that have been dropped. mspart
  5. Been there. It is called Beograd over there which means White City. It was pretty drab when I was there but that was when it was part of Yugoslavia which was quite a while ago. They had the biggest apartment buildings that I had ever seen up until that time. If cleaned up, it would be a very beautiful city. mspart
  6. Like a dell? Kidding aside, Why would Dake be considered anything other than the guy to beat? He is the WC the last 2 years at 74kg. Does he appear to be slowing down? Getting weak? I don't think so. I'm sure there are many out there trying to figure out how to beat him, Sidakov included. mspart
  7. What? You say this in response to my question? Wow! mspart
  8. Partial Differential Equations! Oh, and the Theory of Zero. mspart
  9. Why weren't you crowing about how great it was? mspart
  10. The one everyone else lives in. When unemployment jumps from 3.5 to 3.8% in one month and caught everyone by surprise. That's why the stock market didn't do so well today. Maybe you should be asking the stock market which world they are living in. mspart
  11. Cool, so we may see you!! I admire your sniffing ability. In an accident at a wrestling camp, my nose got totally beat up and I don't smell things well, drives my wife nuts. mspart
  12. In further reading, the Yahoo finance site said that labor participation is picking up, which might be the reason for the uptick in unemployment numbers. But you have to admit, that the headline is not good news. Not only that, no one saw a rise in unemployment coming. Which is why the stock market didn't do well today. mspart
  13. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/us-economy-adds-187000-jobs-in-august-unemployment-rate-unexpectedly-rises-to-38-155705157.html US economy adds 187,000 jobs in August, unemployment rate unexpectedly rises to 3.8% You can read the article but adding jobs equals higher unemployment? Must be the new Bidenomics math!! Or it is quantum mechanics happening. Maybe unemployment will be 1.4 if they open the box again. mspart
  14. Ah yes, the actual goal. I'd say no. Unless you have an overactive olfactory system. Are you going to be close to this area on your map on Thanksgiving? mspart
  15. QED!! mspart
  16. Impressive. I'd say you are getting warmer. This is east of the city of Sammamish. I don't live in Sammamish. But I did go to Sammamish High School in Bellevue. mspart
  17. Yes, this is correct and I understand it. My understanding is that taking 1st gives you so many points towards seeding for the next WC. The seeding tourneys don't provide near that much. Just seems odd to drop that much. I see this on UWW website regarding seeding system: Still just seems weird but I guess I can see how it works. Taylor did not go to the 2022 Pan Ams. He didn't go to seeding tourneys. So I guess that is what happens. mspart
  18. But your pluck is noteworthy. mspart
  19. For a chance to go to the Olympics? The one who wants it more will get it together. mspart
  20. How is Taylor seeded 7 and Amine seeded 4? Being WC last year doesn't mean too much I guess. But in this case, Taylor is still the bad draw. mspart
  21. Oooooooh, paying attention!! I only said not west of Seattle. There are lots of woods N, E, and S of Seattle. mspart
  22. Election denier!!!! mspart
  23. 1. Chesa Boudin being fired pleases me but more so pleases the good people of San Fransisco. 2. You saying they did it to themselves is correct. They did not use a screwdriver and a USB cord to steal the car. They did it at gunpoint. The kids did it at gunpoint. 3. He's trying to fight crime by suing car manufacturers is what I get out of it rather than going after the perps. 10 weeks in is enough time to enact a policy. Attacking poverty? How's that working for him? Hopefully it starts to work soon. But getting tough on crime would get closer to the mark. 4. This is the 6th Bartell's location to close in the last year in Seattle. They are not closing elsewhere. I don't think anything but theft is the reason here. We still have Bartells' locations where I live. A store cannot continue to operate if they are losing money to shoplifting and theft. I don't blame them for closing. It is the times we live in. Walmart is no longer in Portland due to theft. If there was a company that could absorb losses it is walmart and they couldn't stand it anymore. REI has a flagship store in Portland that they are leaving due to crime. Nordstroms is leaving a 5 floor layout in SF due to crime. Westfield is no longer paying the lease on their SF mall. The biggest hotel in SF is closing up due to crime. Rather than work on poverty, perhaps the Chicago Mayor could start working on safety which would be a faster approach to fix what ails Chicago. NYC did it back a few decades ago and it was a fairly quick transformation. These things weren't happening 5, 10, 20, 30, 40 years ago like they are now. My thesis, (and I've been told many people are with me on this) is that city councils have not made public safety and law enforcement a priority. And we very clearly see the results. mspart
  24. I think what BigBrog was asking was would you be enjoying Hillary's journey to justice just as much if that was her lot? The answer based on your statements on these boards would be NO. You have not declared Trump guilty but you have done everything short of that, including your last sentence, "I do enjoy his journey to justice". That means you think he is guilty and deserves whatever conviction he gets. Do you feel the same about Hillary? That is the question. A two tiered justice system is no justice system. Certainly not for a civilized society. Lady Justice is blindfolded for a reason. mspart
