I have been reluctant to respond to some of the comments on here. Many of you have different thoughts on this matter. My grandfather served in combat World war 1. My father served in combat in World War 2 and passed away at the age 41 . 5 of my Uncles also served in World War 2 .All of them passed away from Huntington's Korea at he age of 40 to 43. My older brother passed away at the age of 18, 3 weeks after he had enlisted in the Navy. I had 7 cousins who served, most of them in combat. One of them after serving in Vietnam was killed 3 weeks after returning home in a car accident. The driver ran a stop sign. My son and 3 son in laws have served in combat. On was injured with an I.E.D but made it home. 2 are still actively serving. My daughter in-law served in the Army. I'm not telling you what you should do as an American that is your decision. But I for one will stand for the National Anthem with a ( sense of pride and sadness) knowing the sacrifices of these men and women and their families have gone through. Side note. None of these men or women expected recognition or special honors for their service. They are very humble and unassuming. The last 12 words of the National Anthem have a special meaning to me.

Good grief. I wonder how they are able to keep all this data buried. From what we are told you would think the graph would just the opposite.

I not sure what you mean by taking away a scholarship. I'm advocating for sitting you on the bench. Now if you want to protest on your own time go for it. There is a time and a place for doing certain things. Doing it before or during a game while in uniform and representing your school is neither the time or the place.

You can believe anything you want to believe. Just because someone else does something wrong does not make ok for you to do something wrong. Mulkey has a disrespectful routine for her team of leaving the court when the National Anthem is being played. This is done to avoid the embarrassment of having players kneeling or sitting down during the national Anthem. Which would bring more scrutiny to her program and team. Believe you want. I don't really care.

I am old school. I was bought up to respect my elders. I was brought up to love and respect our country, the flag and our National Anthem and for those who have sacrificed for the freedom and liberty they have afforded me. The Constitution allows for you to disrespectfully protest against the flag, against the National Anthem, against the very people who have afforded you the freedom to protest. I as a Patriotic American find that to be foolish and offensive.

I think it is the emperor's new clothes syndrome only the democrats can see it.
