  1. I was relieved to find out that 35 states now require students to take a personal finance course in order to graduate from high school. Now if we could just make it a requirement for ALL Government employees to take a personal finance course. Also take a basic economic course.
  2. I have been reluctant to respond to some of the comments on here. Many of you have different thoughts on this matter. My grandfather served in combat World war 1. My father served in combat in World War 2 and passed away at the age 41 . 5 of my Uncles also served in World War 2 .All of them passed away from Huntington's Korea at he age of 40 to 43. My older brother passed away at the age of 18, 3 weeks after he had enlisted in the Navy. I had 7 cousins who served, most of them in combat. One of them after serving in Vietnam was killed 3 weeks after returning home in a car accident. The driver ran a stop sign. My son and 3 son in laws have served in combat. On was injured with an I.E.D but made it home. 2 are still actively serving. My daughter in-law served in the Army. I'm not telling you what you should do as an American that is your decision. But I for one will stand for the National Anthem with a ( sense of pride and sadness) knowing the sacrifices of these men and women and their families have gone through. Side note. None of these men or women expected recognition or special honors for their service. They are very humble and unassuming. The last 12 words of the National Anthem have a special meaning to me.
  3. Good grief. I wonder how they are able to keep all this data buried. From what we are told you would think the graph would just the opposite.
  4. Its a good opinion. In a time not so long ago most of America felt that way.
  5. Amen to that. There was a time in America when this was the norm. That ship has now sailed.
  6. Are you ok. I will be happy to give you my phone number if you need some help. Just calm down. This is just a discussion.
  7. OK doctor Phil. You are a funny guy. Being you do not know me from Adam you might want to go back to your television show. You seem to have plenty of your own problems to attend to. I hope you feel better soon.
  8. Maybe you should call West Point and talk to Lt. General Steve Gilland and get the information you desire.
  9. I not sure what you mean by taking away a scholarship. I'm advocating for sitting you on the bench. Now if you want to protest on your own time go for it. There is a time and a place for doing certain things. Doing it before or during a game while in uniform and representing your school is neither the time or the place.
  10. You can believe anything you want to believe. Just because someone else does something wrong does not make ok for you to do something wrong. Mulkey has a disrespectful routine for her team of leaving the court when the National Anthem is being played. This is done to avoid the embarrassment of having players kneeling or sitting down during the national Anthem. Which would bring more scrutiny to her program and team. Believe you want. I don't really care.
  11. I am old school. I was bought up to respect my elders. I was brought up to love and respect our country, the flag and our National Anthem and for those who have sacrificed for the freedom and liberty they have afforded me. The Constitution allows for you to disrespectfully protest against the flag, against the National Anthem, against the very people who have afforded you the freedom to protest. I as a Patriotic American find that to be foolish and offensive.
  12. Yes . The player gets to sit on the bench and think about why he or she is sitting there when he or she is the best player on the team. He gets to sit on the bench for as long as it takes to get his brain cells to understand that foolishness will not be tolerated.
  13. I think it is the emperor's new clothes syndrome only the democrats can see it.
  14. Her statement is disingenuous. You are a smart guy and I know you know that.
  15. No excuses all wrestlers stood for the National anthem when it was played and were respectful. No wrestler left the gym or sat down or knelt down. We didn't have or tolerate any of this WOKE GARBAGE.
  16. Your last sentence. You honestly don't believe that? You honestly don't believe she didn't know the National was going to be played at a certain time?
  17. Exactly . You maybe 25 basketball players vs. 300 to 2000 wrestlers at the tournaments I have competed in and coached in. The National Anthem is always played and I have never seen one person leave or kneel down.
  18. It's OK to enjoy the freedom and the liberty that the Flag and the National Anthem symbolize without having to show the respect for the very people who afforded that Freedom and Liberty.
  19. Mulkey's statement is very disengenious. She knows exactly when it is played and she knows exactly why they won't be on the floor for the playing National Anthem. It has nothing to do with a team meeting. It is and was intentionally done.
  20. I wonder if the athletes and the coach had to decide between being present and stand for National Anthem or the lose their scholarship or contract, what would they choose? The National Anthem takes 90.5 seconds.
  21. Louisiana Gov. Landry suggests pulling scholarships for athletes who skip the National Anthem. I happen to think that is a wonderful idea. What are your thoughts. LSU vs Iowa women's basketball game.
