    I can only imagine how electric with rage people would be if I owned Twitter. Mis/disinformation bans galore, as well as any kind of fascist and/or speech that serves no social utility. I'd have a field day with it.

    Weird you say that! I have exactly one of those German names, and I'm not sure I've ever heard them pronounced emphasizing the first vowel. It's always the second in my experience.

    Again, I could be wrong, but there's nothing logical, based on my background with seeing too many silent letters, about it being pronounced with the G.

    Thanks. Having grown up in Minnesota I've seen far too many Norwegian and German names to not automatically see a silent letter in a name.

    I could be wrong, but the announcers' pronunciation of Gfeller's name is kind of driving me nuts. They're using the "g" but I'm guessing it's silent.

    It's nothing and pure nonsense. I'm just a huge Frank Zappa fan and one of his singers sings in one song that someone is "practickin ritchcraft." So, I use it from time to time.

    I wouldn't know, but he is on OSU's current roster, if that tells us anything. I see he's listed at 157. He was a good 149 pounder here. I also wonder what brought him to Oregon State. His brother stayed on at UNI.

    I'm surprised that Tristan Lara isn't starting at Oregon State. He was the starter at UNI and got better and better as the season wore on.

    Boy, for someone that sure talked a big game I didn't see too much there. The few punches I saw were awful too. I don't feel too much need to pile on him, but I'd have sure loved to sit next to his Dad and watch him cringe!

    Well, maybe I didn't understand what the OP was asking. If so, I'm ok with my egregious error, but please forgive me Lord and forum contributors. I'd just ask to not take things so seriously.

    It's ok. As I said, I don't take guns that seriously and they're not a big part of my identity. I was just wondering why guns suddenly became dangerous and killers of people, rather than people being killers. Beats me!
