  1. Just saw that Crypto Boy had been giving MONEY to politicians for the advancement of phantom "money." Perhaps should have been a rap upside the heads of people who thought crypto was real, eh?
  2. I always draw gasp when I say this, but I was never a big Duane era fan. I'm way more into Betts and Greg Alllman.
  3. Deuce isn't the only one to have sanctions against Russia. You can see the dumb old grail dementia case has some too. https://www.state.gov/the-impact-of-sanctions-and-export-controls-on-the-russian-federation/#:~:text=Since February 2022%2C the United, been destroyed in the war., However. Deuce IS the only one who stood right next to Putie on the world stage and blamed America first for Russia's help in getting Deuce "elected," and, we also can't forget this tough on Russia moment.
  4. As someone who's been banned from rasslin forums more than everyone on here combined, I can pretty much relate to this! Never felt my speech was abridged because of what I said before, but, yeah, my often times differing ideas led to most of them.
  5. Only gubment can abridge your free speech with subsequent repercussions.
  6. His indictments and convictions are going to be his death blow.
  7. I'll give this tip of the hat to the Minnesota camp: since I've first posted on rasslin forums over twenty years ago, their ability to stay tight lipped is extraordinary. You've never been able to get even a hangnail update from anyone for as long as these forums have existed. I swear that they must require that their entire entourage, including fans, sign secrecy oaths.
  8. I used to box, and it's like I've said since rasslers first started going into MMA, it's easy to say, "I'm going MMA," but once they start taking some big shots they either quickly learn that (1) this hurts and I don't want it or (2) they can't take a punch and have glass jaws. With that said, I've always said that until these guys have been punched by pro boxers, they haven't been punched. Those boys know how to throw leather. With what few punches he threw, Downey may have been the poorest puncher I've ever seen. Scratch that...Askren is.
  9. This assumes that the reaction can be controlled, but, on another note, it ought to be something to watch our energy companies, always looking out for us, mind you, cook up their propaganda machines to tell us why we mustn't use this form of energy. Just as how wind and solar energy are devils in a woodpile.
  10. Not going to affect me; I'm holding tight in my mortgage free home. But, we all wanted gubment to do something about inflation, but, contrary to what the disinformers will try to have us believe, inflation is largely outside of gubment control and or influence, aside from...you guessed it... raising interest rates. We wanted a fix, and that's about all that they can do, along with stimulus checks (part of our initial problem), price controls, and/or mandating wage increases. However, if mask "mandates" did what they did to the 30 percenters, we'd have mutiny with these measures!
  11. I heard a take on NPR yesterday morning, and I'm wondering if it isn't right. Musk likes the limelight and self-promotion, so he has now bought Twitter to use Twitter to get people arguing and debating on Twitter about Twitter.
  12. Our prices are indeed going down here in Ioway, especially gas.
  13. I know that I could Google it, but I already did and didn't get a suffice answer, nor have I ever taken a physics class. I know that fission is what we use now, with the big drawback being waste. With fusion, I've always understood that it will apparently be clean, but the big drawback is that the chain reaction cannot be controlled. I think I assumed we already knew how to fuse the atoms, being "how to control" the reaction was all that I heard as the drawback. Obviously, we had yet to figure out how to fuse. I haven't read A THING about how they plan to control it, if my memory serves me right regarding this drawback. So, did I hear the "control" part wrong, or will that still be a concern?
  14. That's a pretty callous way to look at people being needlessly killed, especially when one purports to be "pro-life." My description of it being "pro-birth" becomes more fitting everyday. As of today, there have been 42,038 deaths by firearms ( yes, I know, most are suicides, but, oh well, right?) this year, with nearly all being unnecessary. Add the fact that gun violence is now the leading cause of death among children in the U.S., your "zero cause" looks callous given all of this.
  15. I worded it poorly. Of course he's not pitched a tent in the backyard.
  16. Not a big fan of womens' sports, but, like Gable, of course I support them. I'm primarily just speaking to employment discrimination. In that regard, yes, I oppose discrimination of all sorts.
  17. Not sure how to take that. Literally?
  18. Saw Hot Tuna, acoustic only, in Iowa City a few years back. Kind of sucks because I've been a fan for a long time but haven't seen them any more than that one time.
  19. Yet another who didn't read the Mueller report. The Mueller report details the collusion, the obstruction of justice ( eight instances), and Deuce's efforts to save his "presidency" as a result. Plus, a study also showed that the Russian efforts did influence how people viewed Clinton. Sorry, but alternative realities are not allowed with me.
  20. Tough to beat the efforts of a big, foreign adversarial gubment working directly with one of the campaigns.
  21. At least in enjoyment, gender identity has already been brought before them in 2020 and it was a victory for us gender equality advocates. https://www.jdsupra.com/legalnews/supreme-court-rules-gender-identity-and-50917/
  22. Dang! That's great! Great Canned Heat song, and his kids play perfectly right along! I'm impressed.
  23. I was just talking about some of that this weekend. Mainly, that Zappa was a dictator, and even a manipulator. His " comedy routines" were very often at the expense of band members, whom he essentially manipulated for comedic "benefit. " I may differ a bit with the length of some of his solos. When he was on, I couldn't get enough of his guitar. I'll give these videos a listen. I know their names but not sure I've heard them all together. Now, onto some banjo practice!
  24. Well, if you're in Ohio, The Farm could be interpreted as the Fur Peace Ranch, which is a haven for folk music.
  25. That's killer! As a lifelong Zappa fan, when I saw Dweezil's band do the complete Roxy and Elsewhere album it was the single best band I've ever seen in my life. Musically, that is.
