  1. I agree that things are looking up, but results speak louder than potential. Things need to improve.
  2. With Fugitt, Mendoza, Steed, and Sinclair, Mizzou has 3 returning AA's and another good shot with Mendoza. But they have finished outside the top ten for the last 3 seasons, not where Mizzou fans are used to being. Also, too many Mizzou guys lately have either regressed, transferred, or looked HEW'ed out in their final season. Smith is going into his 28th year at Mizzou, and he needs to show that he can keep up with the changes in the sport.
  3. I may have missed something, but is O'Toole not wrestling?
  4. That's debatable. By Missouri lightweight standards he was solid. But he went 5-8 at natties in 4 tries, never seeded higher than 13th, never AA'ed, and never won conference. I liked him, but he wasn't that great.
  5. I'd love to see that transfer. When was the last time Mizzou had a good lightweight? Waters in 2015?
  6. I'm excited to see who they'll poach from other teams and then underperform with. Brands are probably pissed that their over-performance at natties cut into their face time with potential transfers. (If I sound a little bitter, it's because I am. Brands and Dresser can go f@ck a duck)
  7. .
  8. Transfers are going to happen, but Elam sat out all of last season for Mizzou, and still took their money during that time. And then immediately turns around and hits the transfer portal. I don't want to see guys get injured, but I doubt any Mizzou fans shed a tear for him last night.
  9. GREAT JOB Cotton!!!
  10. Still in KC, but was in Chicago a couple weekends ago where I was introduced to the Chicago Handshake.
  11. Wings, Malort, and Old Style
  12. And don't forget Big. And for pure piece of shitiveness, throw in MacTruck.
  13. Nope. He's been on a downward trend since his sophomore season at Mizzou. He's getting worse, not better. He's a hired gun for ASU who's out of bullets.
  14. Don't fool yourself, Trump could give a shit about wrestling (besides professional). He went to NCAA's because a large percentage of the fans probably voted for him and he knew he'd get a big cheer. Same reason he attended the Daytona 500, super bowl in New Orleans, and MMA events. It was an ego boost and pr opportunity for him, nothing more. (The exact same reason why he did not attend the super bowl in California or the Olympics, where he would have likely been booed). (this is not meant to be a political post, just a statement of the facts)
  15. I have no dog in the B1G fight (besides my contempt for the store-bought teams), but it did seem like PSU got an awful lot of the 50/50 calls, along with some blatantly bad or missed ones.
  16. What an @sshole. Looking at the bracket it appears that Jones got DQ'd. 100% correct call.
  17. Mirror image of Barlow McGhee's Mizzou career. Literally has stagnated or gotten worse every year.
  18. I disagree. He did great this year when given the chance, and with the transfer portal there's definitely a chance that he won't get 5 years of wrestling in at Mizzou. If he's their best option now (and a legit AA candidate), then he should be on the mat.
  19. And as expected J. Edmond comes out and wrestles like crap. Barely beats a 5-12 guy in overtime and then looks pitiful in a quarterfinal loss. Great call Smith. Needs to take a lesson from Taylor and put the best guy in, and if that means bumping a senior out, tough sh!t.
  20. Penrith's ankle monitor went off if he was out past 7pm.
  21. Not seeing it. He'd have to have multiple upsets of guys who are just better than him.
  22. So you just picked all of the higher ranked guys.
  23. Heard it has the unique ability to make an opposing wrestler stall.
