Ender's Shadow, from Bean's perspective, was good. It's been so long that I forget one book from the next. Speaker for the Dead was interesting as the Speaker's goal was to provide a full and honest portrayal of the deceased individual, acknowledging their virtues and flaws. I've always wondered why people did not take the opportunity to speak the truth at funerals. Getting the perspectives from the alien species was good for self-awareness considerations. Some later books had pacing issues (boring) and abstract themes around philosophy and consciousness. I remember wondering ...huh... but I still enjoyed them and read them quickly one after another per Amazon in Feb of 2023. The 'interconnectedness of all living beings' theme was interesting. This reminds me of personal findings from my ancestry research. Starting with building out my family tree on Ancestry.com and then connecting with FamilySearch.org, I've found many Americans have a genetic interconnectedness. If you have a dead grandparent in America, the odds are very high that we can immediately find a shared common ancestor within a few hundred years. Last Friday, I discovered I am 9th cousin with one colleague, 9th cousins in-law through marriage with a second colleague, and 8th cousin with a half-Asian colleague. Despite the diversity of cultures, languages, and histories across Europe we are cut from a similar cloth.

The criticism about corruption and health applies to all presidents... not just Biden. These politicians should aggressively get the answer to 'yes.' Has political corruption been reduced? Does the government uphold the same standards it holds the people to? Are citizens healthier than they were four years ago? Is citizen purchase power better than today? So long as >50% of the voting population believes the corrupt-controlled news, the answer remains 'no.'

Bad - Americans are sicker than they were four years ago, and we all are paying for it. Reducing the obesity trend in America would reduce the cost of health care by lowering obesity-driven sickness. If America went hard to decentivize high fructose corn syrup, GMOs, and Trans fats, obesity would plummet, and health would increase. These slow killers are too complex for consumers to vote with their wallets (knowledge, accessibility, costs). Imagine coupling the decentive on bad foods with a financial incentive to maintain physical fitness. Biden is not the cause of the obesity problem, but his administration effectively ignores the causes.

Besides the strong economy, popularlizing the term 'fake news' helped millions to discern manipulation and bias in the information they consume. It also helped many realize how the government and corporations leverage the news and social media for their own purposes. There was a time where I wouldn't have believed this segment from Mike Benz. What I wrestle with is whether folks don't believe it or whether they know and prefer it.
