  1. 1. Piercing the corporate veil is a thing, 2. Especially when Musk does it so often himself. The EU was not likely to do this if Musk had not set the precedence himself by, among other things, taking NVDA chips from Tesla and redirecting them to xAI, using Tesla engineers at Twitter, telling Tesla's board that unless they paid him more (i.e. replace the shares he sold to buy Twitter) he would start new projects at other companies (like he did with xAI), borrowing money from one company (SpaceX) to buy another company (Twitter), using cash from one business (SpaceX) to directly finance another business (SolarCity) by buying its equity, merging one failing company (SolarCity) into another (Tesla) to bail it out, and that is just from memory, I am probably missing some. If the EU goes forward it will only be to follow Musk's footsteps.
  2. Lazy responder gonna lazy respond.
  3. In a world where Larry Owings beat Dan Gable, I am not shocked by anything but I would still not say Hendricksen=Kerkvliet until I see Hendricksen=Kerkvliet since I have seen Hendricksen<Kerkvliet at three tournaments in a row.
  4. They already are
  5. Musk treats his companies like they are one, often sharing resources between them, now regulators may do the same.
  6. Musk possibly facing a bigger threat from the EU. From Bloomberg: The European Union has warned X that it may calculate fines against the social-media platform by including revenue from Elon Musk’s other businesses, including Space Exploration Technologies Corp. and Neuralink Corp., an approach that would significantly increase the potential penalties for violating content moderation rules. "Under the EU’s Digital Services Act, the bloc can slap online platforms with fines of as much as 6% of their yearly global revenue for failing to tackle illegal content and disinformation or follow transparency rules. Regulators are considering whether sales from SpaceX, Neuralink, xAI and the Boring Company, in addition to revenue generated from the social network, should be included to determine potential fines against X, people familiar with the matter said, asking not to be identified because the information isn’t public."
  7. I am not buying Hamiti/Arnold=Haines or Hendricksen=Kerkvliet Two guys with championships (and one at the weight) against a bunch of guys wanting.

  12. We can also talk in terms of coaching dynasties. Based on the all-time leaders in having coached All-Americans, we clearly do not talk about Harold Nichols nearly enough.
  13. Same three schools, different order. Oklahoma State 16, Iowa State 13, Oklahoma 12
  14. I am all for Trump followers getting fleeced.
  15. All of Trump's products are made in China. His ability to fleece his own followers is going to take a big hit. On second thought, his followers' willingness to be fleeced knows no bounds. This could be a nice source of revenue for the government.
  16. "Russia, if you're listening, I hope you're able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing, I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press," Trump said in a July 27, 2016 news conference. On or around that day, according to the indictment, which was announced Friday, Russian actors sent phishing emails to accounts at a domain used by Clinton's personal office. They also targeted 76 email addresses on the domain used by the Clinton campaign, though the exact timing of both of those efforts is unclear. https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/trump-asked-russia-to-find-clintons-emails-on-or-around-the-same-day-russians-targeted-her-accounts
  17. Iowa State, Oklahoma St and Oklahoma are the near miss dynasties. Iowa State has 15 runner up finishes to 13 for Oklahoma State and 12 for Oklahoma.
  18. Missouri with the conference dynasty. They won the Big 12 or MAC twelve years in a row from 2012 - 2023.
