I know things change but hasn't Burroughs been on record that he has no interest in coaching? Out of that group I can see Taylor and Snyder having success. It's hard to wrap my head around the idea of Dake being coach. He'll be a teenager by the time his first recruiting class graduates. As for the next "great coach" is it a foregone conclusion that he'll have to be an Iowa State grad
Is it possible that with Caliendo coming in and Steveson possibly coming that Kennedy and Cassioppi were involved in the gambling violations. @Husker_Du @Jason Bryant???
This is a legendary PIAA wrestling story that may or may not have happened in the late 90's at the Manheim Holiday Tournament. There was a young man from District 3. He was truly a physical specimen and built up quite the reputation in Pennsylvania. For whatever reason while in the locker room he began motor mouthing away about how he was going to "take it to" a very nice young gentleman from District 11. Now this D11 kid many will tell you was quite the special wrestler. Any who. As our District 3 kid keeps motor mouthing to anyone that would listen little did he know our D11 phenom walked in. The locker room went silent. The D11 wrestler calmly said, "I'm going to send you out in a stretcher" and just walked out. And wouldn't you know it. He made good on his promise. I'm assuming @Husker_Du and @flyingcement are familiar with who the wrestlers are.
If we're bringing Marcus Coleman into this than we can't ignore the fact that your Ferrari only beat Evan Bockman 6-3 and lost to Noah Adams 3-2. Brooks is a better wrestler.
Lately, some of these threads have really gone off the rails. In the "not a great look for wrestling fans" thread I posted what I thought were clearly comical post and a few posters took them literally.
We're all still in the dark on the gambling allegations but I can guarantee that if it happens to put a big dent into the lineup Jimmy will post, "If Iowa hadn't lost so & so starters to gambling violations they would've have beaten Penn State"
He's not wrestling as a true freshman at 197. TE's and LB's play at 230 to 240lbs. Even with a redshirt this year he'll have to be in the weight room putting on a lot of muscle and mass
While we're at it. Do you want to break it to the Iowa fans the Ben Kueter is a football recruit pursuing to play either LB or TE and will never wrestle 197 for the Hawkeyes
Serious question. Are Iowa fans not paying attention to wrestling insiders who are all saying AJ is not only too big to go back down to 197 but also he doesnt want to because his goal is to fight light heavyweight in MMA. @ionel are you and I the only two who have heard this by multiple sources?
Can you please do the math to show how it will be a race next year?
I'll help you out. Barring injury PSU will out place Iowa @
