And yet they do not play for me. Instead it sends me to the app store to get the app.

Have to be in desktop mode.  You're  not missing much.. Once in a blue moon someone will send me a funny video or a sports clip but most of those you can find on other media platforms

    Not in IT.

It works in your browser because you have the app. Without the app the Chinese government is not able to gather the info on you that they want, so to view, even in a browser, they push you to first download the app.

Say hello to Xi Jinping for me.

you can watch tiktok videos without the app.  I don't have it, will never have but can confirm videos are accessible to the general public

I think caliendo has an outside shot of beating messenbrink. He had multiple takedowns against him last year, he just melted under messenbrink's crazy pace. I think caliendo will be better prepared this year.

They wrestled 3 times and I believe he only got a total of 2 takedowns in those matches.  One in the 3rd period of their first match, none in their 2nd, and one in the first period of their semi final match at NCAAs.  I don't know where these other multiple takedowns disappeared to.

There are a bunch of guys still wrestling in the NCAA from the same high school class as him.  Are you upset about all of them too?

A bunch? The only wrestlers from the class of 2018 still wrestling in college are in their seventh year thanks to two redshirts and the covid-year. If the rules allow it, sobeit, but I think guys wrestling in college for a span of seven years is a little preposterous.

And even more preposterous is granting an Olympic Redshirt to a healthy athlete who didn't even attempt to make the team.

I know you're a fan, but you have to understand that it's a little ridiculous, though not against the rules apparently.

Edit: Not too often you see the big boy cradle.

I think Teemer, Michael Beard, & Steveson are the only 7th year wrestlers ranked in the top 10 for their weights.  There are a bunch of 6th year wrestlers.  I think most of us are looking forward to the covid era coming to an end

The baseline defense for Penn State is insane. Watch Haines and Starocci and the way they just kill a pretty good shot, then move through their process of countering it and scoring. They each have their slight variations but the basics are the same. You can have your hands locked, leg pulled in, and they don’t panic.

Will try not to sound like a surfer dude responding to this...When you watch guys like you've mentioned & others like KOT & Dake who is the best example next time watch their hips in the situations your mentioning.  Their hips are always covering, following, or going with the progression of that sequence.

Looking forward to the next match, it seems like a 95% chance that Mesenbrink wins by a technical fall, and that the only points Wilson scores will be via escape (from release).  If he's lucky maybe he'll get a reversal, and then allow Mesenbrink to escape for the same effect.  Mesenbrink is a maniac, but more of a tech fall guy than a pinner.  In fact all of his results so far this year have been tech falls without letting up a non-escape point

Great, You just jinxed him.  Now  the streak will be broken with a pin 😒

133 Davis is the favorite, but his only ranked match at 133 was a 1-0 win where Bailey chose neutral when he was down 1 in the third. Van Dee is 2-0 against Ragusin, and just beat a tough Tyler Wells, he has the potential to pull an upset.

Davis took a loss to Crookham in the Lehigh dual

    1) That's not why British Intelligence performed the coup. They did it because Iran was attempting to nationalize its oil industry which was then controlled by BP. That's the bottom line.

    2) Yes, the Brits led the operation, but the CIA was heavily involved and it became the model for the next 30 years of coups.

    3) None of what you said addresses the historical fact that Iranian coup was the first domino in the Islamic Revolution. Whether the Brits or US is more responsible for that 1 event is irrelevant. We are continuing the imperial project in the region.

    1)  Where did I refute this?  Fact,  British intelligence convinced the US the Soviets were making inroads

    2) Where did I refute this?  Did the British not convince the US the Soviets were making significant inroads?

    3) The coup was not the first domino.  The history of Iran, like all history, was far messier than just pointing to one moment as the cause.  Which leads me to my final point.  No one, and I mean no one actually has a full understanding of why we have this current mess.  Israel, the PLO, Iran, the US, Britain all have made mistakes.  But to assign blame to one party is beneath intelligence

American foreign policy proceeds from the assumption that we have the right to and should control ever region in the world. The world is our plaything. Iran's emergence as a sponsor of terrorism and hostile force in the region was a response to us.

It was a response to us working with the belief that British Intelligence was correct in their assessment that Iran had become controlled by the Soviet Union.  The British were the main antagonizers in the lead up to the coup and the US followed.  There is this false historical narrative especially from the left that the US is always the boogey man in the room

What about the Taliban? ISIS? Hamas is not like the Nazis or Japanese during WWII. It is a guerilla style terror group. And the record on trying to defeat that type of enemy is marked by failure, particularly in the Middle East. They always come back because military solutions don't address root causes.

Neither will diplomacy as long as Iran is hell bent on being a disruptive force in the region.  It's a sh*t show and will continue to be
