    China doesn't have a massive tariff regime across the board. China has specifically targeted certain goods at certain times, or various nations for specific purposes; you know, like a normal, smart plan for achieving ends, targeting and surgical. Nothing like what Trump and the USA just did (and rescinded) which we can call the "shotgun to the face" method. Countries will not isolate China because they provide a ready source of cheap goods.

    There will be a 90 days pause on some of the tariffs (unclear which ones at this point). Glad that's happening, but this was a catastrophe of his own making, so he hasn't solved anything other than realizing (maybe?) that his initial choice was moronic.

    Trump announced he would be adding tariffs to pharmaceuticals. They had initially been carved out. About 2/3 of the brand names and about 80% of the generics are made outside the US. We already pay the highest drug prices in the developed world, driven primarily by corporate greed and government not regulating prices. They're about to go up.
