You're just twisting yourself into knots to defend against something that doesn't require a defense. It's not illegal what Penn State did, but they almost definitely did it. At least you're starting to admit that some of your "facts" are actually opinions, although you're just trying to shroud them in "widely held opinions are facts" as if this is some data-driven science experiment.
