125 - Gilman
197 - Trenge

Trenge was strong, but I don't think unusually so for the weight class. There were some other guys in the Lehigh room around that time that maybe fit the description a little better with Letters at 165 probably topping the list.

Making the lineup by weight bullying and pure luck that another wrestler that beat him in line up is out with injury. Also got forced out of his weight lineup because he couldn't beat a freshman. That doesn't sound elite to me. Look I got nothing personal against the guy but he is overrated imo. He was good in high school but his college career has been mediocre sorry

He didn’t get beat out, just cuz you lose to your teammate doesn’t mean they’re better, he’s been much better against the field. No luck about it

You lose that means the guy that beat you is better

Keuter-pre hip surgery, he would just get in on ugly single legs and pull hard enough to some how get the take down.

Daton fix

There was another Minnesota gopher in the late 2000s to early 2010s, mid weight classes. I'm completely blanking on right now. If someone could help me with it ...jayson ness or dustin schlater???? I can't remember which one

Full of un-bias blasphemy.

Seems like the guys that bench press on the mat are usually giving up back points or getting pinned

After joking, not joking; strength absolutely helps on the mat and functional strength may help even more. As muscle gets added, flexibility needs to be developed and maintained.

Agreed on downey grip strength at 165 and I'll add Ruiz grip to that as well.
