Who’s Davini?  Sounds tough

A kid from Illinios who has zero chance of NC this year.

I don't care at all as long as they separate Seidel and Forrest, along with Blaze and Davino. If the semis are two rematches between super-freshman we riot.

That would be a bummer but would still get a new match in the final and probably the other two in the third place match at least. Seed Davino 1 and Seidel 4, then all will be right.

Zero chance the guy who didn't wrestle half the season get's the #1 seed...that's just a general statement. The precedent that would set is horrendous. Why would anyone wrestle the entire season then? Better to stay fresh and uninjured going into NCAA's then. It's a massive advantage to wrestle half of the year and be rewarded with the #1

Nomad's 1-4 is correct

As I follow this thru the day, I knew the RPI but doesn’t he (Jax) also not have enough matches for a Coaches Ranking? So it wouldn’t be beating necessarily, he would completely lack that component as well??

Gonna be interesting!! When will the NCAA selection show be?? This Wednesday or Thursday??

His current coaches rank is #4.  8 match minimum/starter/active within last 30 days

The bad precedent is using absolutes to address unique situations.

You can absolutely put Forrest anywhere in the top 3 seeds and easily justify it.  Putting him 1st instead of 2nd or 3rd isn't going to create some precedent issue.

I hope Davino/Blaze and Forrest/Seidel get separated. Still can’t believe Blaze spent 20 minutes on the mat with Davino in the last month and failed to have a single legitimate leg attack.

He did not even get one stall call. The last match in the first 20 seconds he backed right off the mat. Reall hard to believe.

How do we think the ranking services will rank it?  (Which will likely influence coaches rank)  Both Flo and Intermat already had Davino ahead of Forrest so I’d be surprised if Forrest jumps him.   In which case Davino would be basically guaranteed to be the 1 seed.

As long as they separate those guys that have already met, I will be good.  From there, any of those 4 could win. Also there is a decent chance that 1 of those 4 gets upset along the way.  So much talent, if you look ahead you may find yourself behind in the 3rd.

I think it should go Jax, Seidel, Savino, Blaze by looking at Ayala as the mutual opponent.  Jax and Seidel only had one close match, with each other.   They tech All-Americans

Then I'd make Ayala 5 and Byrd 6

They/see 4 freshman are all elite and nomad has the same semis matchups as me but the 3 and 4 seeds will have a harder quarterfinals match

What do you have on Seidel?  If he and Forrest opposite sides look out everyone else.

we definitely need Jax and Seidel on opposite sides, if only for the possibility that two kids who wrestled in HS state finals last year could meet in NCAA finals a year later.

... and it would not be a boring 1-1 sv match.  Definitely should be last match of the night if it happens.

This seems correct.  I could see Jax jumping Blaze, but looks like both Flo and Intermat have the order as Davino/Blaze/Jax.

Flo updated theirs to:

1 Davino

2 Blaze

3 Forrest

4 Larkin

5 Seidel

6 Knox

7 Ayala

8 Byrd

intermat went:

1 Davino

2 Blaze

3 Forrest

4 Seidel

5 Larkin

6 Ayala

7 Byrd

8 Knox

What would be the justification for Larkin over Seidel?

Good luck Lucas Byrd. Got exposed at Big10's and now will be wrestling in a stacked weight with a low-ish seed. The complete opposite scenario from last year, let's see if he AA's.

Would be wild if Byrd and Ayala don't AA.

What if Lucas had the bird flu during b10 and this week back to normal.  Does Davino really want to go thru Byrd & Seidel?
