Where did i attack rich people? Saying they should be taxed more on second homes while we have adult children stuck at home living with their parents due to rent and housing prices isn’t really radical

Oh, sorry I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions after reading what you wrote....one example "Im not gona lose any sleep over a billionaire having to pay more of his obscene fortune to have his second home because..."

So, is the reason there are adult children living with their parents is because the "rich" aren't taxed enough (according to some criteria you have yet to share other than "it should be more")??  You seriously think that THAT is the root cause??  Come on man...

leftists for decades: tax the rich!! they are the bad people. they are the cause of your problems

also leftists: how dare you want to deport people who commit crimes and are a drain on our economic systems and government programs

In the richest country in the world we shouldn’t have housing shortages just so rich people Can have multiple homes.  There’s sugar taxes and tobacco taxes and alcohol taxes in the same sense of secondary home taxes it’s to discourage it. Im not gona lose any sleep over a billionaire having to pay more of his obscene fortune to have his second home because most Americans are one missed paycheck or one ambulance ride away from homelessness.
and sure what’s the book

so you are saying someone else from NYC was going to pony up for that house?

btw he already paid more than his fair share of taxes on that.

I mean multiple factors about housing not being affordable people having more than one home does contribute to it

Keep frothing at the mouth to defend billionaires they would gladly cut all your public services and healthcare to save a few of bucks of their wealth

😂🤣  That's your come back??  But you don't hate "rich" people...got it.  😂

You know who I defend...people that work hard, people who take all the risk to build something that employs hundred thousand to millions of people with great paying jobs.  Who are 10X the philanthropists than all other groups of people.  I defend people who want a better situation for themselves, so they stop blaming other people for where they are at, work hard, and does what it takes to be as successful as to what makes them happy.

You are the one who made the claim...and you expect people to just take your word for it...I'm asking for you to articulate why?  I bet you can't without google.

You also scream that they should be taxed double if they own multiple homes...that makes absolutely no sense other than "rich people bad".

Second houses- and commercual property - are taxed more in almost every jurisdiction.   Primary residences get homestead exemptions.  The difference is about a 50% higher tax rate for non- homestead.

People who tolerate me on a daily basis . . . they are the real heroes.

NYC is already high for their taxes for secondary homes.   Fiscal Accountability should be a thing vs just taxing more

  1. New Jersey (~2.2%)
  2. Illinois (~2.0%)

  6. Texas (~1.6–1.8%)
  7. Nebraska (~1.5–1.7%)
  8. Wisconsin (~1.5%)

Understood...I owned rental property for a hot minute so understand it, and while I disagree with it, that's even more reason not to tax secondary homes even more.  Not to mention, it doesn't make someone "bad" to own secondary properties...IMHO

you are wrong. it's completely bad for them to own secondary property.

unless, of course, they fight for dem talking point policies.
